Franchise Opportunities for the UK 2026 | Franchising Advice | Franchises For Resale For over 25 years, whichfranchise has promoted ethical franchise opportunities in the UK, including franchises that are members of the British Franchise Association. We believe in giving prospective franchises the best franchising advice and access to franchise opportunities of all types and investment levels.
New franchises in the UK Our New Franchises category showcases those franchise opportunities which are new to whichfranchise - these are NEW LISTINGS and so not neccessary new to franchising or the UK. The amount of years they have been established will differ. These latest franchises cover a wide range of industries, types and investments - there is something for everyone!
Low Cost franchises in the UK Low cost franhises, is there such a thing?! One of the drawbacks of franchising for some can be the perceived high costs. This however is not always the case. There are many low cost franchises available to buy which can ultimately reduce the financial risk for potential partners making them a more viable option for those interested in franchising. A franchise run from home will be more affordable than one that requires retail premises or an office, or a lot of expensive equipment. The drawbacks can be lower profit margins and higher competition.
Most low cost franchise opportunities will be operated on a owner-operator basis and not require the recruitment of staff. There may however be opportunities to develop an owner-operator business into a management franchise when the franchisee is ready and willing to do so. So what starts as a low cost franchise opportunity, could be developed into a substantial business.
Working from Home franchises in the UK A major benefit of home based franchises is the financial savings on the cost of premises. If you have spare space at home, why pay the rental on an office and tied into long tenancy agreements. There’s also the time you’ll save travelling to and from work and the flexibility of working from home can help you manage other commitments such as children. With a work from home franchise you make the rules to suit your life, whether it’s the hours you work or what you wear during the working day. Work from home franchises cover a wide range of industries including financial services, travel, gardening, business services, cleaning, home improvement, property maintenance to name just a few.
Food franchises in the UK Some of the world’s biggest brands are food franchises. Buying a food franchise can give you instant recognition and brand appeal, and allow you to start earning money from day one. The majority are retail based and found in areas with high footfall such as high streets, shopping mall, travel hubs etc, which will tend to mean a substantial investment is required. Though there are some lower investment models including mobile, kiosks and even shipping containers! Many food franhise opportunities can be developed into a multi-unit operation as well as being favoured by multi-brand franchisees looking to expand an existing portfolio. There are many food franchise types including traditional sectors such as burgers, fried chicken, pizza and subs, with notable new food trends including smash burgers, donuts, Indian street food, Asian fusion, kebabs, salads, noodles, luxury desserts and upmarket wraps. So something for everyone!
Executive franchises in the UK Executive franchises are popular with those who have left the corporate world and looking to run their own business, rather than working for someone else. Also known as white-collar franchises, these opportunities allow the operator to use their skills and experience to run their own business. These franchises can be in various sectors including B2B, financial, business coaching, tax and other business-related services. Often the business can be run from home or from a high street office, keeping start-up costs for executive franchise opportunities low.
Van franchises in the UK Why are van franchises popular with those considering franchising? With customers enjoying the luxury of having services and products delivered to their home or workplace, the mobile franchise sector is constantly growing. And for van franchise owners, there are benefits as many enjoy not having to work in the same place day-in and day-out but prefer the freedom of traveling each day to meet new as well as regular customers. With a mobile franchise business, your vehicle ultimately becomes your office. Van franchises will tend to have a lower investment than retail or office based franchises due to the low overheads.

This is great news for local accountancy businesses. Many accountancy franchise owners only need a small office, which can usually be from home, and so the overheads and investment are low. You may also be interested in bookkeeping franchises or cost reduction franchises where you work with companies to reduce their costs and help them to grow.

Automotive franchises in the UK With UK motorists spending over £21 billion a year on servicing and repairs, it is no wonder automotive franchises remain a popular choice for those looking to start their own franchise business. The automotive aftermarket is a vital part of the UK economy with many of us are looking for cost-effective ways of maintaining our cars, rather than buying new. Automotive franchise opportunities include car repair franchises, windscreen and body repair, tyre replacement, car wash and mobile valeting. b2b franchises in the UK b2b franchises (or business-to-business) are, as the name suggests, any business that targets other business clients primarily, rather than working with individual consumers. b2b franchise opportunities offer products and services that businesses need to develop and grow; this can range from printing and signage, to commercial cleaning franchises, to accounting and financial franchises to marketing and sales. Bar and pub franchises in the UK Thinking of buying a bar or pub franchise? The hospitality industry is a major contributor to the franchising industry with a large number of F&B brands going down the franchise route. This includes bar and pub franchises opening across the country. Pub franchise owners can either run the bar themselves or recruit a manager to manage the everyday tasks whilst they concentrate on building the brand and business in their local area. Whilst these franchises may appeal to those with an interest in hospitality, they are also great for those keen to run their own bar or pub but lacking industry experience.
Beauty franchises in the UK Beauty franchises remain popular as even during a credit crunch or recession, people still invest in looking and feeling good. And it's not just women, as men and kids are a fast-growing segment of this lucrative industry. Ths is why the beauty sector is a billion-£ industry. By investing in a recognised beauty franchise opportunity, you will enjoy the benefits of a renowned brand name and the franchisor’s extensive experience within this highly-competitive market. Beauty can include personal stylists, colour consultants, nail bars, hair salons, fitness and waxing franchises.
Building and construction franchises in the UK Building and construction franchises are ideal for those interested in the lucrative property and home renovation industry. With many of us choosing to increase the value of our homes over a longer period of time by building extensions, attic conversions, landscaping external property, and renovating interiors, building and construction franchises can be immensely profitable. T
Business Coaching franchises in the UK Business coaching franchises, and consultancy franchises, are both fast-growing sectors due to businesses from SMEs to corporate brands looking to outsource consulting and coaching services to improve areas of their business that may have been overlooked. These franchises tend to be home-based with only a small office required as you spend a large proportion of the day with clients at their place of work. Ideal for those looking for an executive franchise opportunity.
Care franchises in the UK Interested in buying a home care franchise in the UK? Then you wouldn't be alone! Care franchises continue to be one the most popular choices for those looking at franchising. This is due to the ever increasing demand for quality care services because people are living longer and hence an increasing need for additional support in all areas of care. And with the NHS struggling at times to cope with the high demand placed on it, senior care franchise companies are stepping in and offering an alternative option. People are also wanting to stay independent for longer at home, and so home care franchises are in demand more now than ever before. Most care franchises are management opportunities and dont require you to do the actual care work yourself and so care experience in the care sector isn’t essential. You should however have a desire to care for others, and be able to utilise your previous career experiences and skill-set to allow you to manage and develop
Children's franchises in the UK Interested in a children’s franchise? The childrens services industry continues to rapidly grow as the demand for children’s classes hits new heights of popularity, which is great news for those considering a childrens franchise opportunity. Parents recognise the benefits of helping their children to develop from an early age; including encouraging social skills and promoting healthier lifestyles. A multitude of new children’s franchises has arisen ranging from music lessons, toddler gyms, trampoling, art and craft, education and tutoring, drama, language lessons, baby sensory classes, baby yoga and various sport franchises.
