Experienced leadership, trusted brand

Homecare is a very in-demand sector, assured of further growth with the UK’s ageing population. There are also significant barriers to entry. Right at Home reduces these barriers, offering franchisees the perfect blend of making a difference, while achieving commercial success. We’ve spent 13+ years building the industry’s most trusted and consistent premium-quality brand, and supporting each franchise to become the homecare provider and recruiter of choice in their local communities.

There are no short cuts – it’s hard work, requiring real commitment, resilience and patience. But you’ll have the backing of exceptional teams, as well as direct guidance and input from founder Ken Deary and CEO Lucy Campbell, two of the most respected people in homecare.

It’s extremely rewarding for those who put in the effort. And those rewards are so much more than just financial. Be the change you want to see in your community, backed by the franchise with the strongest benchmarks in both homecare and franchising.

Why choose Right at Home?

right at home franchise

Right at Home is an independently owned and operated homecare network. This gives franchisees the best of both worlds: being part of a significant industry player, but with no external shareholders we remain entirely focused on franchisee success – not stakeholder profits.

Ken Deary founded Right at Home in the UK in 2010 after a highly successful period as a McDonald’s franchisee, which included winning the British Franchise Association’s highest honour – Franchisee of the Year – and McDonald’s highly-coveted Golden Arches award.

Ken built the brand from day one from the perspective of a brilliant franchisee and what they need from their franchisor, with a focus on strong, sustainable, ethical franchising. His success with Right at Home led to his election as Chair of the British Franchise Association from 2022-24.

Lucy Campbell took over as CEO in 2023 after several years of working closely alongside Ken. Lucy has an enviable reputation in both homecare and franchising, having received multiple prestigious awards for her leadership and vision. She is helping to shape the future of homecare through her role as vice chair of the Homecare Association and her work with cross-party politicians

Support that’s proven to achieve results

Our unique approach to support from a dynamic and committed team at National Office has created exceptional consistency of franchisee results. Our key staff have been with us for a long time, and are as invested in your success as you are.

Our acclaimed RightStart programme sets you up for success with a detailed business plan, full initial training, marketing materials and support sourcing premises and recruiting your Registered Manager – leaving you ready to focus on growing your new business.

And you’ll also join a peer support network like no other. We only award franchises to people who share the same ethos and values. This values-based approach has helped create a tight-knit group of like-minded Franchise Owners, who share three guiding principles along with the franchisor:

  • Integrity and excellence are everything
  • Profitability comes from being the very best at what we do
  • Leaders are approachable, accountable and collaborative

A franchisee perspective is sought in every key strategic decision, a participative approach that ensures everyone in the network has a voice and feels heard.
