The emotional story behind CareYourWay Macclesfield

Demand for outstanding home care is growing fast, as more families realise the countless benefits of having loved ones stay safe, comfortable, and supported at home for as long as possible.

That’s exactly what CareYourWay franchises exist to deliver: a quality-first, values-led approach to domiciliary care, backed by a proven model and expert hands-on support.

It’s something the communities of Macclesfield and the surrounding areas will soon be able to experience, after Jennifer Jenkins decided to join our flourishing franchise network.

Jennifer’s journey is deeply personal. She didn’t discover CareYourWay through a brochure or advert, but rather at one of the hardest moments a family can face.

After witnessing the difference truly compassionate care can make, she made the decision to help more people experience that same level of support in her own community.

This is her remarkable story.

A career built on compassion and clinical excellence

Jennifer brings extensive nursing and advanced practice experience into her new role as a CareYourWay franchisee. It’s expertise that sits perfectly alongside our focus on quality, standards, and people-first care.

She qualified as a nurse in 2002, working in A&E before completing a Master’s in Advanced Practice in 2010.

She went on to work as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), while also teaching on the Masters programme at the University of Salford and gaining her Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice.

In 2017, Jennifer moved into general practice as a senior ACP, where her work included supporting patients living with complex needs. She became the practice’s frailty lead and managed medical care for residents in a care home that predominantly supported people with dementia.

It’s a career defined by two key motivations: clinical excellence and staying true to the important values of dignity, empathy, and supporting people well through some of life’s biggest challenges.

When providing care became personal

In 2018, Jennifer’s mum was diagnosed with dementia at the age of 69.

Like so many families, Jennifer and her loved ones stepped in to care for her at home, doing everything they could to keep her safe, comfortable, and surrounded by familiarity. “We cared for her extremely well at home,” Jennifer explains.

But towards the end of her mum’s life, Jennifer’s family experienced both ends of the care spectrum.

There were moments of care that simply weren’t good enough, and others that reminded them what a difference quality, empathetic care can make.

“She passed away in 2024. Near the end of her life, she received both poor and outstanding care. That outstanding care came from CareYourWay in Stockport, who couldn’t do enough to support both my mum and our family.”

Jennifer’s experiences with CareYourWay stayed with her. Not just because it was meaningful, but because it was proof that the right care, delivered the right way, can change how a family experiences an incredibly difficult chapter.

Discovering the CareYourWay franchise opportunity

After her mum’s passing, it was another family member who learned about franchise opportunities and encouraged her to explore it.

“My husband noticed CareYourWay offers franchising and advised me to look into it,” she explains.

What happened next is what makes Jennifer’s story so powerful.

She didn’t want to leap into business just for the sake of it. Instead, it was a step towards doing something purposeful: making the kind of quality home care she now knew was possible accessible to more families locally.

“After speaking with Head Office, I knew they were a franchise I wanted to be part of. The team’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and caring attitude was outstanding compared to other franchises that I contacted.”

Why our values made all the difference

Jennifer recalls how her early conversations with CareYourWay felt empathetic, considered, and values-led.

“They were supportive, caring, understanding and there was no pressure,” she explains. “They were interested in and wanted to understand me and my journey, which spoke volumes.

“CareYourWay’s values and standards are outstanding. They go above and beyond for staff and clients, showing the true meaning of care. They are friendly, approachable, and provide excellent support and guidance.”

For Jennifer, this combination of high standards and a genuinely supportive culture mattered.

Preparing to launch CareYourWay Macclesfield

CareYourWay Macclesfield is now in the pre-launch phase, with Jennifer progressing through the steps required to open and begin delivering care.

Starting a regulated care business can feel daunting, even for someone with Jennifer’s extensive experience in healthcare. But CareYourWay’s structure is designed to make the journey clear and achievable.

“The training, support, and conversations around planning everything ahead of launching the business have been excellent,” Jennifer explains.

That sense of preparedness is vital for new franchisees. Knowing what truly compassionate care looks like makes all the difference when it comes to launching with confidence.

“I really feel prepared and ready to get going and make a difference to clients in my community. I have submitted my CQC application and am hoping to launch in early 2026.”

Jennifer will be leading the business with support close at hand.

“I will be running it on my own initially until I recruit staff, but have excellent support from my husband who will help as required, particularly with finance and marketing.”

Her goal once the business launches is clear: grow with quality care at the heart from day one.

The difference Jennifer wants to make in Macclesfield

While Jennifer has achieved a great deal in her career so far, her motivation now is rooted in giving others what her family received when it mattered most.

“I want clients to receive the same outstanding care that my mum did at the very end of her life. Clients must be happy, feel properly cared for and respected, and have their autonomy encouraged at all times.

“That’s what I want to deliver to my community with CareYourWay.”

Jennifer’s aims reflect what modern, person-led home care should look like. It’s not about taking over and rushing around, but listening to and supporting clients. It’s a powerful way to deliver personalised care in a way that protects dignity and choice.

“My plans are to provide outstanding domiciliary care to clients and allow the business to flourish.”

Jennifer’s message to future CareYourWay franchisees

Jennifer is upfront about what it takes to start your journey in home care. It is meaningful, but with that comes responsibility.

“It’s a lot of hard work, but that is to be expected,” she explains. “If you are prepared to put the work in, you will be excellently supported by Head Office and will be making a significant difference to people’s lives.”

It’s a poignant message from an incredible individual who knows first-hand just how much outstanding care can mean.
