Burger Boi hires new Operations Director to manage franchise expansion

Smashed burger brand Burger Boi has hired a new Operations Director, Garth Almendro, to oversee the expansion of the franchise as it is set to double the size of its estate next year. Garth joins the team from German Doner Kebabs (GDK). At GDK, Garth held roles such as Franchise Business Manager, Regional Director of Operations and Operations Director UK. He also previously spent ten years in working in his native South Africa for Wimpy owner Famous Brands.

Burger Boi named best takeaway in the South West

Burger Boi’s Gloucester store has been awarded and recognised as the best takeaway 2024 in the South West in the England Business Awards. The Gloucester store, which is run by franchisee Gerwyn Duggan, was selected for the award for its excellent customer service and high quality of food. It is now in the running for an overall national award.
