Urban Baristas was founded in 2016 by Huw Wardrope and Jono Bowman, two Aussie guys that got tired of the finance industry and the bad chain coffees they were drinking and decided to invest their time in something they loved but struggled to find in London: great Aussie style coffee.
Coffee is at the heart of Urban Baristas. We are passionate about serving people that taste of Aussie beach culture in a cup. Everything we do leads back to our story of love for coffee and Aussie life.
Urban Baristas is all about simplicity, comfort, and laid-back vibes. Our shops are simple and unpretentious, a place you can take a breather. Our neighbours are our friends.
Our coffee is locally roasted at our own Roastery located at Bethnal Green in East London, freshly ground, expertly extracted by our highly trained baristas and perfectly poured.
Urban Baristas’ journey went from Bondi to Bounds Green with their first site and the aim of serving specialty coffee to the London commuter. Fast forward and Urban Baristas now operate 12 sites around London, with a view to opening 30 locations by 2024 across the UK.
Urban Baristas has developed a thriving creative community, fuelled by amazing coffee and deliciously healthy Aussie food and we are now looking for experienced partners to join our growing family.
