Greggs is a leading UK food-on-the-go retailer with more than 2,300 shops nationwide and approximately 28,000 employees across the business.

The company was founded in 1939 by John Gregg, then delivering fresh eggs and yeast, by pushbike, to the families of Newcastle. Greggs has since grown to become a nations-favourite and much-loved British brand.

As a food-on-the-go retailer, Greggs continues to specialise in daily fresh shop-made sandwiches, and savouries baked fresh in the shop ovens throughout the day. These are further complemented by popular products and ranges including freshly ground coffee, breakfast, confectionery, vegan and evening menu items. Greggs also offers healthier choices which includes a selection of lower calorie products.

Our current franchise offer works with partners in locations where it may be difficult to operate a company managed store. These include motorway service areas, petrol filling stations, educational establishments and smaller high street convenience locations.

Since our development, Greggs has evolved to meet the needs of the ever-changing retail environment and our franchise partners work with a clear set of policies and processes to ensure that wherever we operate, our customers can receive the same high quality products and service across all of our 2000+ shops.

We are currently looking for corporate partners, with the ability to deliver ten or more shops over a given period of development, and at this stage are unable to offer individual one-off franchise agreements.

Greggs’ current franchise partners include: EG Group, Moto, MFG, Blakemore, Welcome Break, Park Garages, Compass, HKS, Falcon, Applegreen NI, SSP , Sodexo, Appleby Westwards, Ascona and Rontec.
