Boots Optician Franchise
Boots Opticians franchise operates a chain of ophthalmic and dispensing optician stores in the UK and first began trading in Nottingham in 1983. Over the coming years further practices were opened throughout England, and in 1987 Boots Opticians was formed with the acquisition of Clement Clarke Ltd and Curry and Paxton Ltd.
In 2009 Boots Opticians merged with Dolland and Aitchison to form a chain of over 600 stores and 5,000 staff. Of these stores, approximately 180 trade as a franchise. Boots Opticians has over 30 years of franchising experience and now operates as the largest and most established retail optical franchise in the UK.
Opportunities are currently available for partners to own their Boots Opticians franchise, with opportunities across the UK. An ideal franchisee will be an entrepreneur who enjoys the freedom of running their own business. At Boots Opticians, you will fully own your own business, something that sets us apart from other franchised optical providers in the UK. We are a business that is committed to help everyone see their world vividly. We are clear on our ambition to be no.1 for customers and colleagues.
Each year a small proportion of our franchise practices are sold to new and existing Franchise Partners due to current Franchise Partners choosing to sell their businesses. In addition, we occasionally convert a number of our owned practices to franchise if they better suit the franchise model.
