Wimpy is one of the best-known and longest established burger brands in the UK. The brand has had a presence in the country for over 60 years and currently has 80 UK stores.
The first British Wimpy store opened in London in 1954 and became an instant favourite, quickly expanding to most cities and towns in the UK. Fierce competition in later years saw the number of stores dwindle; however, Wimpy is now planning a major UK comeback and is seeking franchisees to allow it to realise its goals.
