The British Franchise Association Franchise Group for Scotland was proud to present Scottish Franchise Week 2006.
Beginning on 29th May, the week was packed full of events. Educational seminars were organised for those interested in franchising and wanting to learn more about how to go about their due diligence. A satisfied attendee of the one-day workshop which took place on 31st May, commented, “It was extremely informative and in my opinion very well presented and put together. I was very impressed by the balance of the speakers - "for and against" and from both sides!”
The Business Breakfast, a vital part of Scottish Franchise Week last year, was again a phenomenal success. Over 250 delegates, including Franchisors, Business Advisers, leading franchisees and prospective franchisors, attended this networking event at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Guest speakers this year included:-
- Sanjay Majhu, leading Scottish entrepreneur and Asian Businessman of the Year
- Lisa Taylor, successful Domino’s franchisee
- Pupils from the Hollyrood School who presented their ‘Discover Franchising’ project.
The climax of Scottish Franchise Week was the British Franchise Exhibition held at the SECC on 2nd – 3rd June. The event proved to be a busy two days for franchisors and visitors alike. The exhibition was an ideal place to see the breadth of opportunity available to prospective franchisees and an oppunitunity to meet and discuss your suitability with a number of franchisors with the convenience of one location.
