DJ & LJ Business Services Ltd, based in north-west London and active in the industry for less than three years, has been named as Dyno-Plumbing services Franchisee of the Year.

Desmond Dunne began the business with his wife back in September 2004 covering part of the West London postal districts for the rapidly expanding emergency plumbing service. Operating two vans from the outset and eager to meet the different needs of a diverse client base, the firm has demonstrated high levels of service as well as a ‘can-do’ attitude.

“It is very flattering to have been picked for this prestigious award, but it reflects the hard work that everyone involved, including my wife, have put into the business. The British Gas Home Insurance contacts provided us with a lot of work from the outset but we have also always tried to respond to any enquiries generated by Yellow Pages or word of mouth. Possibly most encouraging is the relationship we have built up with our clients.

Beyond this, the company has always tried to keep up to date with new products such as Pipeguard and SureStop – the emergency cut off device to deal with leaks. “I feel these innovations can help customers as well as ourselves and are an important part of the offering. Now we have merged the business with my elder brother, Dennis’ franchise, who covered the neighbouring area of London, we will continue to try and give the very highest levels of service to all our customers,” says Desmond.
