Scenic Blue Expands Into Scotland

na

Scenic Blue the UK’s only landscape gardening franchise has further strengthened its appeal as a highly viable franchise proposition by extending its network to include Scotland. The company has recently signed franchise deals to deliver the Scenic Blue offering to two new regions: Glasgow North and Glasgow South. The latest additions to the network brings the current total number of Scenic Blue operational franchise areas to 37 – an impressive growth track record for a company that was only established in 1998.

The two new franchises will be run by Gordon Greig (Glasgow South) – a former Vision Express franchise owner and seasoned entrepreneur and Kevin Miller (Glasgow North) – the former MD of a small but highly successful award winning manufacturing company.

Scenic Blue’s expansion into the Scottish market is consistent with the findings of a recent Mintel report (Mintel Gardening – The Consumer, UK, October 2004) which identified the rise of the “Instagardener” – consumers who are looking to achieve instant results for their outdoor space. This audience is heavily influenced by make over-based shows, which tend to encourage viewers to radically alter their gardens and be more inventive and individualist in their taste.

Commenting on Scenic Blue’s successful growth to date, franchise director, Tony Mundella says “the Scenic Blue franchise offering continues to attract entrepreneurs keen to capitalize on the massive potential represented by the UK domestic landscape market. Our credentials within this sector are exemplary, with five industry awards under our belt in 2004 and a chance to exhibit at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show, Scenic Blue is fast becoming a brand synonymous with cutting edge landscape design combined with the promise of unsurpassed professionalism and reliability. As the brand emerges as a leading light in its given industry sector, so its appeal as a well researched, highly feasible franchise opportunity continues to grow”.
