Razzamataz
I was a teacher of Drama for Razzamataz in 2004 but decided in 2007 that this would be a good business opportunity for myself. Also the school’s name had great exposure on BBCs Dragons Den.
I studied for three years at the RSAMD for a BA (THEATRE). After this I was signed to record label EMI Netherlands to be part of a girl band Bad Candy in 2005. I was also part of the TV show the X FACTOR to be the finalists English Coach.
I raised the money through a mixture of money from Business Gateway, personal savings and a bank Loan.
I receive a lot of online and phone support from my franchisor. Meetings including an AGM which all franchisees find very helpful. I also have a support worker who monitors my businesses development.
I found the admin and paperwork side of the business to be the most challenging aspects of running Razzamataz for me.
Make sure you have a good support network, online/phone support and maybe a person from the support team who monitors and keeps in touch with you regularly.
Expand my schools. I am also part of the Support Team to assist the Franchisees in Scotland.
