Better life with The Local Bookkeeper franchise

TLB_Benham.jpg

Fiona is a member of the ICB and a part qualified Accountant coupled with also being a working mum with two children. Fiona needed more flexibility in her working life to give her a better work life balance. She felt unappreciated by her boss for her hard work who could not give her the flexibility she needed to create her ideal work/life balance.

Fiona had been working for as the company Accountant for a Tour Operator when she found the The Local Bookkeeper franchise opportunity. She had wanted to become self-employed for a long time to give her more freedom but she was concerned about taking the leap on her own especially when she has dependents to provide for. Fiona explains, “I knew that if I was to make this change I would have to grow very quickly to maintain the same level of income that I had when I was employed.”

Fiona found that the support she would receive from head office would give her the security she needed to start up her own business.

“The The Local Bookkeeper franchise start-up campaign seemed like the ideal starting point. I also like the back up from The Local Bookkeeper with marketing, national referrals and the professional website and I knew that potential clients would feel reassured with the backup of a national company.”

Fiona’s business is growing and is not experiencing any sort of slowing during the recession displaying how the The Local Bookkeeper business is recession proof. She is now has the freedom to determine her own hours and never has to miss a school play again. Fiona is well on the way to building a very successful business after less than a year’s trading.
