ComputerXplorers is one of the leading international children’s computing education franchises, reaching around 34,000 students weekly across over 1,500 locations.

This fast-growing business offers children aged three to 16 years a range of fun, interactive classes – through school lessons (PPA Cover and workshops), after school clubs and holiday camps – to introduce them to a variety of exciting new technologies and platforms and teach them how to use these tools creatively and innovatively.

Its overarching ambition is to make quality computing education and knowledge accessible to all children. With the digital sector growing exponentially each year and integrating with a wide variety of industries, having the skills and knowledge to harness the power of digital technologies will be paramount for future generations entering the world of work.

With opportunities available for new franchisees across the UK and internationally, ComputerXplorers offers an excellent opportunity to join a network of like-minded business owners with the support of a forward-thinking and driven head office team with over 125 years’ franchising expertise.

Candidates should be:

  • Good with people
  • Comfortable with technology

ComputerXplorers employs an innovative turnkey business model that includes a comprehensive startup package with extensive training and marketing support to help new franchisees kick-start the launch of their business. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • A six-day training program covering brand knowledge, financial planning, operational logistics, and curriculum usage
  • Access to a dedicated business mentor
  • A guaranteed appointment service for local schools
  • Centralised marketing resources
  • Annual conferences to foster collaboration and idea sharing between franchisees
  • Ongoing training, including new courses and technologies, and provision of tools for personal goal achievement
  • Resources for recruitment, HR support, and mental health initiatives, ensuring a supportive environment that values diversity and innovation while facilitating successful business growth

Franchisees can also benefit from technology-driven tools like BookPebble for booking management, and Campus for email marketing to schools.

The franchisor’s commitment to innovation extends to developing cutting-edge educational programs through partnerships with exciting technology providers, ensuring the curriculum remains relevant and impactful. This focus on technology enhances both franchisee operations and student learning experiences.

The brand has also collaborated with Positive Social to underscore its commitment to responsible technology use. Franchisees receive specialised training to facilitate workshops on the safe and positive use of social media, empowering young people to navigate the digital landscape confidently.

ComputerXplorers is owned and run by XplorerGroup, a franchise group which is helmed by Managing Director, Stuart Harley. Stuart began his own career in the franchising world as a ComputerXplorers franchisee, before taking the opportunity to purchase the brand in 2021.

Stuart, alongside his head office team and franchisees, has cultivated a culture of collaboration, innovation, and support. As the brand has rapidly grown, maintaining a family feel within the network remains essential and ensuring accessibility and openness to ideas has been crucial for growth.
