Home Instead franchise goes from strength to strength
Home Instead Senior Care, the only care franchise business specialising in care of the elderly, is reporting a positive start to the year having signed up 12 new franchise territories in the past 10 weeks.
The company started 2011 with 80 franchise offices and expects to break the 100 office barrier by May. Home Instead’s offices achieved UK wide revenues in 2008 of £5 million which, by 2010, had more than trebled to £16 million.
The team at Home Instead says that the fact that issues surrounding care of the elderly are receiving increasing amounts of media coverage has resulted in increasing levels of interest in their franchise opportunity with enquiries reaching unprecedented levels.
Home Instead’s main web site is now receiving more than 12,000 visits each month and the company has seen a 15% increase in franchise enquiries since the launch of a new franchise web site which is dedicated to helping people looking to set up a care franchise business.
Founder and managing director of Home Instead in the UK, Trevor Brocklebank said: “Growth over the past 12 months has been phenomenal. I believe that this is down to a number of factors. Firstly we are totally focused in what we do, providing at-home care for the elderly, and we have established a reputation within the care community of doing this exceptionally well. For example, we are the only national care company to have 100% ‘good’ and ‘excellent’ scores from the Care Quality Commission.

“Finally, our service is in demand and it’s a huge growth sector. Our population is ageing and we are all aware that the state is unable to support everyone, so there is a real need for our service.
