Rachel Farr Finalist in the Woman Franchisee 2017 EWIF Awards - 21-November-2017 We are very proud to announce yet another success in franchisee Rachel Farr’s career with No Letting Go. Rachel has been handpicked as a finalist for the Woman Franchisee 2017 EWIF Awards. Being shortlisted for this prestigious award comes only months after she won the NLG franchisee awards for Best Regional Office, Busiest Office, Customer Service and Franchisee of the Year. Here’s her story so far. The Beginnings Rachel initially purchased the Bath franchise in 2014. Originally attracted to the reporting technology, Rachel saw an NLG franchise as an opportunity to step into a management role and quickly grow her business. By 2016 Rachel was running the top performing office for No Letting Go, delivering over 200 property reports every month. She quickly saw the growth she was craving as her team soon grew to five members. Rachel developed her own mentoring and quality checking programme on top of that already provided by Head Office. This reiterated the core values of No Letting Go, and delivered a service that’s consistent, reliable and accountable. A Motivated Team Rachel’s ongoing care and attention to the service her team provides has led to a consistent and motivated team. Something which isn’t easy for solo workers to achieve. Each individual working for Rachel knows exactly what’s expected from them and are confident in her ability to guide them through any issues they encounter. Each of Rachel’s team is self-employed. This adds an additional responsibility to her position. She must ensure each member has a consistent workload to support themselves. Rachel understands these needs and as a result ensures everyone supplies the very best level of customer service. Business Development Rachel takes an impressive approach to business development. In 2016, she completed a database of every letting agent within a 50 mile radius. She also maintains regular contact with all members of this database. This not only boosts NLG brand awareness massively but has led to an impressive reputation in the area. Being widely acknowledged for her reliability and quality, Rachel’s business development actions have led to a 39% increase in active clients in a year. The majority of which came from letting agent recommendations. No Letting Go Development Rachel’s key approach to business development doesn’t only stop with her personal ventures. She has also been a key player in regional improvements. She works closely with her three neighbouring franchises to support each other, share ideas and attend regional conferences. She has also worked with NLG Head Office to aid in the ongoing development of our technology. Rachel not only invests her time to understand her customers but does the same with her team and business too. Family Life All this is made even more impressive when hearing that Rachel welcomed her second baby into the world last year. Working through her pregnancy, Rachel continued to strive for building her business, reputation and team. Moreover, four members of her team also have to juggle their work with young families making their achievements even more remarkable. The EWIF Awards The EWIF Award ceremony will be held on Tuesday 16th May 2017. We will be sure to notify you if Rachel wins the Woman Franchisee Award. Everyone at No Letting Go wishes her the very best of luck. If you’re interested in mirroring Rachel’s success and getting involved in a No Letting Go franchise, we want to hear from you. No Letting Go backs calls for mandatory inventories - 17-November-2017 For a long time, fair wear and tear has been a grey area for landlords and letting agents alike, and because it tends to vary from case to case, it is among the least understood areas of the letting process, and one which can create much ambiguity and cause a high level of disputes at the end of a tenancy. However, clear property damage and poor cleanliness or anything that is different from the property’s original state, is far easier to identify if there is an inventory management report and schedule of condition in place, enabling the landlord to use the tenant’s deposit to compensate, and that is why No Letting Go is supporting the Association of Independent Inventory Clerks (AIIC) petition demanding mandatory independent inventories for all private residential tenancies. No Letting Go, a major provider of inventory and compliance services to the letting industry, also wants to see compulsory inventories combined with compliance reporting. According to No Letting Go CEO, Nick Lyons, a detailed and precise inventory completed at the start of the tenancy, and again when the tenancy ends, also acts as one of the most crucial documents in evidencing the landlord’s obligations under the existing fire safety legislation. The national inventory provider wants the government to go further in also requiring the report to evidence compliance with the smoke and carbon monoxide alarm regulations 2015 and the fire and furnishing safety regulations, 1988. The company believes this will greatly improve standards, will support the industryand help government manage the ever-growing safety requirements of landlords. Lyons said: “Independent inventory providers have a duty of care to protect the interests of both landlords and tenants alike. The government has introduced legislation to protect tenants but with no real effective means to monitor it. “The introduction of a compulsory combined inventory and compliance report for all let properties compiled by trained, independent professionals will help ensure that landlords meet their legal responsibilities and assist the government and trading standards to police the landlord’s requirement to protect tenants.” You can view and sign the AIIC’s petition by clicking here. No Letting Go welcomes new franchisees in London and Gloucestershire - 18-September-2014 Property Inventory Management and letting services company No Letting Go has signed up two new regional franchisees. Tarinder Bassi is providing inventory management services to the Ealing and Chiswick area, while Sheridan and Alastair Lines have taken on the Gloucestershire territory including Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud. The company is the fastest growing inventory management company in the UK and is now represented in 41 locations. Tarinder brings with him 18 years of experience gained in retail and customer service roles, he said, “my passion for high quality customer service and working closely with people fits well with the ethos at No Letting Go and works to my strength. I have always wanted to own my own business and this franchise ticked all the boxes. I’m very excited about this new opportunity and the potential is presents, learning something new and doing something different.” Alastair and Sheridan Lines run their own successful haulage company and have some property experience through owning rental properties. Sheridan said, “We are not new to business and as landlords ourselves understand the importance of accurate, comprehensive inventories. The property market is extremely buoyant in our area and we believe that we can really build a strong business. Following No Letting Go's comprehensive training and time spent preparing to launch we have hit the ground running and are already busy. Our first projects have all gone really well. Our daughter Jacqueline is supporting us with some of the inventory and paperwork and we hope that she will eventually join us full-time.” Nick Lyons, founder of No Letting Go added, “The private rentals market continues to grow rapidly with over 4.1m people renting privately in England and Wales. Since legislation changes in 2007 inventory management services have become one of the most critical rental documents and yet this is still a young market for those providing inventory management services with enormous potential. With the addition of online technology and inventories routinely being carried out using tablet and mobile devices, this service is unrecognizable from its paper-based roots. Today inventory clerks can be contacted in the field and No Letting Go have led the way through its franchise network to provide a national service to exactly meet the needs of Landlords, Letting Agents and Property Managers working in this dynamic environment.” No Letting Go franchise cleans up confusion over cleanliness - 25-October-2011 With cleaning costs topping the bill of reasons why a tenancy deposit is withheld* - a whopping 78% of landlords and agents who withheld deposit money at the end of a tenancy claimed the money was used to pay for cleaning costs – No Letting Go, the UK’s leading brand in inventory management has introduced a unique ‘cleanliness’ scale for its client base. The new ‘cleanliness parameters’ are designed to provide enhanced clarity for both the tenant and the landlord, in relation to the agreed standard of cleanliness which exists pre and post the tenancy period. All No Letting Go inventory and check in / checkout reports now detail the level of cleanliness ranging from a poorly or not cleaned condition through the various states of cleanliness to a professionally cleaned property, supported by a formal dated receipt from the cleaning contractor. The thorny issue of cleanliness has traditionally been a subjective matter with opposing views on what actually constitutes a ‘clean’ property But just as VisitBritain, the umbrella organisation for British tourism, specifies its absolute standards of cleanliness in a handbook for the holiday properties it regularly inspects (A cleanliness level of 40 per cent is awarded One Star, whereas 90 per cent cleanliness merits a Five Star rating), No Letting Go is now also able to offer landlords a clear, consistent and ultimately fair means of judging the cleanliness of a property both at the start and end of a tenancy agreement. Commenting on the initiative, Nick Lyons, managing director says “Our role is to provide an independent, consistent and fair assessment of a property which will serve to protect the rights of both the landlord and the tenant. Over the years, we have witnessed many disputes and the cleanliness or lack of cleanliness of a property has always been a contentious issue between landlords / letting agents and tenants. As a national brand and leading provider of inventories and check in / checkout reports, we pride ourselves on delivering a service which sets the benchmark for excellence within our sector and by introducing this means of formally evaluating degrees of cleanliness, we are once again paving the way for the industry to adopt a fresh new protocol to accurately record the standard of cleanliness at any rented property”. No Letting Go franchise pioneers launch of premium CRM system - 29-September-2011 No Letting Go, the UK’s longest established inventory management franchise is celebrating the roll out of an upgrade of its bespoke CRM system – PIMS (Property Inventory Management System) - which now boasts intuitive web based technology designed to deliver enhanced efficiency to both No Letting Go business owners and their clients. The PIMS protocol was originally launched last year and was warmly received by the franchise network and clients alike. Over the last six months, substantial improvements, have been made to the system, which now represents a total investment of £50K, underpinning the company’s commitment to setting the standard for customer service excellence in the inventory management sector. The new version of PIMS dramatically reduces the amount of time spent on administration and radically enhances the service to the No Letting Go client base by providing a speedier delivery of reports. Specific benefits of the system include: seamless online access by clients and franchisees to key inventory / check in / checkout reports and the ability for clients to manage their property portfolio online speedy turn around and production of online reports and enhanced quality of documents (opportunity to upload more photographs / include more information) online booking and management of inventory / check in and checkout appointments capability control and management of national clients and associated centralised accounting and payment system Commenting on the new initiative, managing director Nick Lyons said “we are delighted with the outcome of this project which represents a significant investment for the business not just in monetary terms but also in relation to the number of management man hours which have been allocated to this venture to achieve the desired end result. The PIMS system will enable our franchisees to build upon the premium quality of customer service already synonymous with the No Letting Go brand and is consistent with the company’s established reputation for pioneering change and challenging existing standards in the inventory management sector. Since the inception of the No Letting Go franchise opportunity, there has been a strong focus on various growth strategies but this has never compromised recognition of the need to constantly monitor profitability. We regularly review and adapt our systems to ensure that franchisees are provided with the appropriate support to meet their anticipated business targets, and we frequently consider new measures to add value to the franchise offering. The feedback from franchisees is very positive since the latest version of PIMS simplifies the administration process, reduces costs and ultimately encourages a greater level of customer satisfaction. We are confident that the new system will provide franchisees with a powerful tool to combine improving key operational aspects of running a No Letting Go business, with equipping the brand with a further SP to either stimulate trial or trigger loyalty and ultimately encourage stand out from competitors”. No Letting Go network hits 25 franchises - 25-August-2011 No Letting Go, the UK’s first and longest established inventory management franchise is continuing its aggressive growth plans with the recruitment of three new franchisees who joined the network in July 2011. The three new franchisees, whose territories will cover Glasgow, Burton-on-Trent and Gravesend, brings the total number of No Letting Go offices to 25, which is in line with targets set by the business at the end of last year. No Letting Go managing director Nick Lyons says “we are delighted with the current level of interest in the No Letting Go franchise opportunity, and of course, also extremely pleased to be in a position where we now boast a strong regional spread of franchisees. However, it is considerably more important to note that our franchisees are delivering excellent turnover figures, with on average the network recording a 65% increase on turnover compared with last year. This underpins the validity of the No Letting Go franchise offering, and demonstrates the fact that within a relatively short time frame, No Letting Go franchisees can have a successful business up and running, operating in a buoyant market, with extremely low overheads’”. No Letting Go expands Head Office resource - 04-August-2011 No Letting Go, the UK’s longest established inventory management franchise is increasing the resource at its head office in response to the growth of the company’s franchise network which now boasts 25 offices. Claire Foley joins the head office team based in Bexley, Greater London to provide additional support across a broad range of administrative tasks. Claire’s appointment comes at a time when the No Letting Go franchise is poised to expand even further, with a number of prospects currently under review. 2011 is proving a successful year for the business, with the average number of jobs and turnover performance showing an impressive 65% increase on last year’s figures. Commenting on the appointment, managing director Nick Lyons says “As a business we have always been committed to providing our franchisees with an exceptional standard of training and business support. As our network continues to grow, it is important to ensure that the head office resource which provides vital franchisee support is also developed to cope with the additional demand. We are delighted to welcome Claire to the team and are confident that she will make a positive contribution to the continued smooth running of the business”.
