Leading fitness franchise Snap Fitness is celebrating double success after winning two awards at the BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Awards.

The UK’s fastest-growing gym franchise walked away with the Research & Development award, while its franchise partners at Bristol Staple Hill were victorious in the Customer Focus category.

In the Research & Development category, Snap Fitness was acclaimed for the overhaul of its member experience, including brand-new group exercise classes and introduction of a recovery offering. The changes have resulted in thousands of new members trying group exercise for the first time and 93% of its network having fuller classes.

Meanwhile, the Bristol Staple Hill team picked up the Customer Focus award for its incredible member experience. Franchisees Sajda Parveen, Imran Bashir and Rizwan Bashir were commended for their network-leading NPS score, member retention and the high level of referrals for new members.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team and franchisees for picking up these awards,” said Kevin Yates, CEO of Snap Fitness EMEA. “The British Franchise Awards were a fantastic celebration of the best that the UK franchise industry has to offer and we’re delighted to be recognised for our achievements over the past 12 months.

“We’ve had a brilliant year as a team and it’s really motivating to everyone to receive this accolade from the BFA. It only motivates us all further ahead of what is going to be a big period of growth for the brand in the UK.

“The Bristol Staple Hill team are a shining example of what happens when you put the member at the heart of everything that you do. It was amazing to see the smiles on their faces when their name was read out and it was truly deserved.”

Snap Fitness were finalists in five categories on the night, having also been shortlisted for the Franchise Support award, as well as franchisee Kunal Patel up for both Multi-Unit Franchisee of the Year and Community Impact.

2025 has been a great year for Snap Fitness, with a flurry of new openings and increasing its membership base by 18%, versus an industry average of 5.4% (2025 State of the UK Fitness Industry Report).
