Pieminister’s first franchise, Pieminister Bath opened on Friday 10 Feb and a flurry of five-star online reviews soon followed. Customers commented on the ‘outstanding food and service’ enjoying the ‘amazing pies, lovely people and great atmosphere’ while others raved about the interior design and central location.

The site, on Westgate Street, was chosen for its proximity to the city’s theatres and other major entertainment venues and shops making it ideal for grabbing a bite before a gig or a big night out (it’s 2-4-1 cocktails all day, every day) or for taking time over a long, leisurely pie feast with friends. Serving up the full range of award-winning pies, the menu showcases old favourites such as the Moo and Free Ranger alongside newcomers like the plant-based Mooless Moo (Supreme Champion at 2022 British Pie Awards) and the Tikka to Ride, filled to the brim with rich, warming free range British chicken tikka, topped with an onion bhaji and finished with a zesty herb relish.

A launch event, co-hosted by Pieminister’s founders Jon Simon and Tristan Hogg and their first franchisees, Harry Roberts and Robert Holderness was held for local press. Jon Simon said,

‘We couldn’t be happier to welcome Harry and Rob into our Pie family and begin this new chapter of Pieminister’s story together.  As a Bristol business, the neighbouring city of Bath couldn’t be a better place for our first franchise! Many Bathonians discovered Pieminister in the early days at Glastonbury and we had been looking for the right spot to open a restaurant in the city for some time. The positive response from locals and a fully booked first weekend is a great indication of what's to come!”

The UK’s premium hot pie brand, Pieminister serves up a seriously good opportunity for franchisees.  The independent family business has been at the top of its game since 2003 and the nation’s love of of a really good pie shows no signs of waning.
