Reflecting on 20 years of excellence in care: highlights from CareYourWays 2025 annual Franchise Conference

CareYourWay franchise partners united to celebrate 20 years of innovation, impact, and purpose; shaping the next chapter of compassionate care.
This year’s CareYourWay Conference brought together our franchise partners, Head Office leadership team, incredible suppliers, and a number of inspiring guest speakers for a day of connection, collaboration, and celebration. As we marked 20 years of compassionate, outstanding-quality care, the energy in the room was nothing short of remarkable — a true reflection of what makes CareYourWay so special.
Reigniting Our Purpose Through Person-Centred Care
The day began with an unforgettable talk from Tommy Whitelaw, National Lead for Person Centred Voices. Tommy’s journey began as a full-time carer for his mother, who lived with vascular dementia. Through that deeply personal experience, he became one of the UK’s most powerful advocates for person-centred care — helping health and social care professionals truly understand the lived experience of the people they support.

Tommy shared stories that were heartfelt, challenging, and inspiring in equal measure. His message was clear: great care starts with listening. By taking the time to understand what matters most to each individual, we create the kind of compassionate, dignified support that changes lives.
Following his talk, our franchise partners took part in an interactive workshop exploring those same principles — reflecting on what truly matters to them, their teams, and their clients. It was a moment of real self-reflection and shared purpose, reminding us all why we do what we do.

Innovation in Action: Introducing Creative Cafés
Continuing the theme of connection, we were thrilled to welcome Sarah Cressall OBE, Founder and CEO of The Creation Station Franchise. Sarah is an award-winning entrepreneur who has spent over two decades inspiring creativity and connection through arts and crafts experiences for people of all ages.
During her uplifting session, Sarah shared her “Six Key Steps to Living the Life You Love” and the vision behind this collaboration. She also helped us unveil an exciting new chapter in CareYourWay’s story: the launch of Creative Cafés, a new initiative in partnership with The Creation Station.
Creative Cafés are designed to bring people together through the power of creativity — helping to combat loneliness and promote social inclusion for older adults and those we support. Whether through group craft sessions in the community or bespoke at-home kits, these experiences will allow clients to express themselves, form connections, and rediscover the simple pleasure of creating something with their own hands.
Launching in March 2026, Creative Cafés represent the perfect blend of innovation and compassion — a fun and fresh way for CareYourWay franchise partners to continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Strong Foundations for a Stronger Future
The afternoon shifted towards planning and performance. Graeme and Claire from Franchology joined our Head Office team to lead an engaging, practical session focused on strategy, structure, and success for the year ahead.
Together, we explored how to build sustainable growth, strengthen leadership mindset, and set clear, actionable goals. Our very own Jon and Michelle, part of our Head Office leadership team, closed the session with a passionate reminder that discipline, consistency, and follow-through are the true drivers of long-term success.
It was an empowering message — and a perfect way to prepare for the next chapter in CareYourWay’s journey.

The 20th Anniversary Awards Gala
As evening fell, the CareYourWay network gathered for a night of recognition and reflection at our 20th Anniversary Awards Gala — an elegant celebration of excellence, dedication, and shared success.
This year’s judging panel brought exceptional expertise to the table, with Pip Wilkins, CEO of the British Franchise Association, and Graeme McKinnon from Franchology overseeing the process. Their insight and experience made the awards particularly meaningful, recognising franchise partners who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, care quality, and community impact.
Our 2025 winners included:
- CareYourWay North Manchester
- Becky Whitehouse
- CareYourWay Chichester
- CareYourWay Hertfordshire

Each winner represents the heart of CareYourWay — combining compassion with professionalism, and delivering exceptional standards of care and business performance.
The evening offered a fitting close to an inspiring day: a moment to celebrate collective achievement, connect as a network, and look ahead to another year of purpose and progress.
Reflecting on Our Most Impactful Year to Date
This year marks CareYourWay’s most impactful year to date. Across our growing network, more than 1,200 people — including clients and their families — have experienced life-changing care and support. Every one of those stories represents the heart of what we do: helping people live well, safely, and meaningfully in the comfort of their own homes.
Our 2025 Conference wasn’t just a celebration of where we’ve come from — it was a statement of where we’re going next. With innovation, connection, and compassion leading the way, CareYourWay continues to grow not just as a business, but as a movement built on car and community.

Looking Ahead
As we look toward 2026, our mission remains clear: to transform lives through outstanding care; one home, one family, and one person at a time - whilst supporting our partners to build purposeful and profitable businesses with the power to make a difference.
For those considering joining our network, the conference offered a glimpse into what makes CareYourWay unique - a culture of collaboration, a deep sense of purpose, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in everything we do.
