Successful franchisees come from a wide range of backgrounds, ages, and experiences

Franchisees have worked both in accounting practices and as accountants in industry, plus those who have joined us from banking, financial services, corporate and consulting backgrounds have been particularly successful too.

Having a financial background is essential – the focus is on advising and supporting clients while the tech and your team do the number crunching.

The Market

With the loss of the traditional bank manager and other advisory organisations, there is a gap that TaxAssist Accountants are filling, as people seek a local trusted advisor for their business and personal financial affairs.

Demand is constant, with evolving tech automating many of the basic services. Franchisees and their teams harness this to deliver a suite of accounting, tax, bookkeeping and payroll services, alongside advisory work with a relationship-led approach.

Added to these core services, you’ll have multiple additional service lines (Financial Planning by TaxAssist, Tax Consulting by TaxAssist, Payroll by TaxAssist) that you can introduce to clients and then refer to our dedicated teams through the TaxAssist Group to undertake the service delivery – helping you create multiple revenue streams for your business.

Our technical team consists of qualified tax and accounting experts who operate a helpdesk, as well as delivering regulatory updates for you and your team. The franchisor provides specialist franchise development support for you as the practice owner. You’ll always be able to access the advice you need, whenever you need it.

Your Role - and Our Role

The goal is for you to work on the business rather than in it. That way, you’re growing an asset as well as your income.

You’ll spend your time growing your accounting practice attracting new clients and leading your team of loyal staff. We’ll guide you every step of the way to maximise both your income and asset value, all you need to do is follow the proven model – just like hundreds of people have before you.

Synopsis

In 2024, The TaxAssist Group unveiled a new look series of brands to highlight that it can advise and support clients with much more than accountancy and tax services. The company’s evolved branding maintains the personal, friendly and professional feel that TaxAssist is renowned for and incorporates the strapline ‘We can do more for you’, to reflect the extensive services clients can expect, all under one roof. As well as a refreshed logo and strapline, a vibrant colour palette has been introduced to highlight the complementary brands. This can be seen across our digital presence and will be applied to shops and offices across the UK and Ireland over the next few years.

Refreshing the TaxAssist brand is a key development in the evolution of our franchise model and we are confident that the innovative and impactful design sets the network up for the future. The new branding is expected to increase client attraction and retention and be even more appealing to potential TaxAssist Accountants looking to grow or buy a modern, professional accountancy practice with a clearly defined suite of services.
