From Pharmaceutical Chemist to founder of BRGR Lab franchise
When Hamzah Islam embarked upon a career as a Pharmaceutical Chemist he had no idea that in 2020 he and his brother Hassan would launch a QSR takeaway concept! Before launching BRGR Lab, Hamzah and Hassan created a Marketing and Branding Agency that would see him and his brother working with some of the biggest brands in world football.
It was their understanding of brands, and passion for food. that led the brothers to look at what was missing in the QSR space - good quality burgers. In 2020, Hamzah and Hassan opened BRGR Lab in Coventry which has been an amazing success since its launch.
“On reflection, whilst my career has moved from my role as a Pharmaceutical Chemist to leading a Marketing Agency, I have been able to use important skill sets and expertise to develop the BRGR Lab brand," said Hamzah.
"The market has been crowded for a number of years with average quality at best so we recognized that the opportunity presented by the Covid pandemic would only be successful if we could produce a fantastic menu using only the freshest of ingredients, slick and efficient operations including delivery and great branding right down to the detail in the packaging we use.
We really have not spared any expense in getting BRGR Lab launched and trading successfully. And this culminated in being shortlisted in the Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year in 2021."
Hassan added, "We have taken our passion for detail into our franchise model, from systems and operations, supply chain, training to marketing programmes we are leaving nothing to chance in order to secure the success of our franchise network and are now thrilled to be launching our exciting franchise opportunity in the UK.
