THE Travel Franchise has revealed that 250 individuals invested in its travel franchise model to become homeworking travel agents in 2023.

Representing an increase of over 160% compared to 2022, this significant milestone coincides with the record-breaking number of holidays sold by its consultants who operate under its customer-facing Not Just Travel (NJT) brand.

With 98% of franchisees new to travel and top agents regularly booking over £100,000-worth of holidays some months, demand is expected to continue throughout 2024.

“The success of our consultants reaffirms the immense potential for entrepreneurs who are new to the travel sector yet follow our proven pathway to success,” says Jenny Farenden, head of franchise marketing.

“As a trusted brand that has won numerous awards, our comprehensive support and training has empowered just shy of 250 individuals to launch and operate their travel agency businesses with confidence in 2023.”

The Travel Franchise co-founder Paul Harrison added that its consultants “had shattered expectations by selling a record number of holidays in 2023” due to its model which offers a high level of training, support and mentoring.

The Travel Franchise has a reputation for offering ‘money-can’t-buy’ luxury mentorship trips abroad where its co-founders take agents to an exotic holiday destination with opportunities to explore a new resort and get tips and advice on building their agencies from experts.

“In autumn 2023 we took 28 Elite franchisees on a money-can’t-buy training retreat to Jamaica as well as over 100 franchisees to Cyprus to explore the island and take part in training sessions to boost their business,” says Harrison.

He added: “And we continue to provide consultants with cutting-edge booking systems and tools including a new WOW travel deals app that delivers exclusive deals to their customers at the touch of a button.”

Harrison believes that since Covid there has been a growing number of people who want to book with a personal travel consultant.

“People want reassurance; to book their holiday with a real person who they know is ABTA bonded and they will be able to reach if there is an issue.”

Harrison added the trend showed no sign of abating.

“The travel market is going through a golden moment post Covid and our sales figures support this (we experienced record sales every single month during 2023). We believe that this golden period will continue for the next 24 months so this is a great time to invest in a franchise and catch the wave.”

Harrison urges entrepreneurs interested in joining to get in touch quickly and launch their business so they are well placed to take advantage of this pent-up demand and greater desire for travel.

“As we only have a few places left for our five-day induction at the end of February, my advice is to reserve a place quickly.”
