Latest Plan Burrito opens in kids soft play centre in Ramsgate
Plan Burrito, award-wining and fastest-growing Tex Mex franchise, has opened its’ latest shop in the premises of a soft play centre in Ramsgate.
The franchise is run by owners of Kids Brighthouse indoor playground, Shereen Sobia and her mum Jennifer, a venture which is a “dream come true” for the entrepreneur.
“The soft play has a kitchen so I have some experience but my background is as a pharmacy dispenser. It has been my dream for a long time to open a restaurant.”
“We have changed (Kids BrightHouse) around as the shop is so big, so the soft play is more to the back and Plan Burrito is at the front."
The mum-of-two wanted to do something different as she feels Ramsgate already has a lot of coffee and sweet shops.
“We had looked at different companies and wanted to do something nice. This company came up and I was quite anxious but thought we could really help each other. I went there and absolutely loved it. Everything about it was so good.”
She is also passionate about healthy food, adding: “All the food is natural, fresh and authentic.”
Ms Sobia started talks with Plan Burrito last October.
She explained: “I looked at what the public wanted. Everyone loves the franchise’s food, so I decided to go for it.”
Customers have been flocking to the shop since it opened to sample their burritos, tacos and other South American dishes.
It has been a busy Summe for Plan Burrito. As well as Ramsgate, they have opened stores in Leamington, Guildford, Hitchin and Shoreditch (dark kitchen), and will be open in Shrewsbury, Norwich and Canterbury by the end of September. The company is also in the England Food Award Finals 2023 for ‘Best Mexican Midlands’ and ‘Best Street Food In England’. And to top it off, they are rated Best Burrito in London by Google.
