Muffin Break Brings Fresh Bakery Cafe Experience to Cardiff

Cardiff city centre has welcomed a new café today with the opening of Muffin Break at the Welsh capital’s Bus Interchange located beside the city’s Central Railway Station.
The new café represents a £300,000 investment in the city and has created up to 15 jobs locally, while giving commuters, shoppers, workers and visitors a fresh new food and coffee offering in one of Cardiff’s key transport hubs.
Open from today, the café will serve Muffin Break’s signature range of handcrafted muffins, cakes and tasty breakfast rolls and a wide selection of lunch options, baked fresh on site each day and premium coffee made with 100% Arabica beans.
Designed as a warm, contemporary space, the Cardiff café has been created for customers looking for everything from a quick morning coffee on the move to a relaxed catch-up, made to order brunch or lunch in the heart of the city.
Part of the Foodco UK Group, Muffin Break has served customers across the UK for more than 25 years and the Cardiff opening marks the brand’s second location in Wales.
Michael Johnson, Head of Franchise Development at Foodco UK, said:
“Cardiff is a fantastic city and the Bus Interchange is an ideal location for Muffin Break as we continue to bring our fresh bakery café experience to more customers across the UK. This opening is an important investment for the brand, creating new local jobs and offering customers a welcoming space for freshly baked food, quality coffee and everyday moments. We are delighted to open our doors today and look forward to becoming part of Cardiff’s vibrant city centre.”
