Papa John's Franchisee to Open 20 Stores!

Leading pizza franchise, Papa John’s, has announced franchisee, Amit Abhol (Rana), plans to open 20 Papa John’s by 2020.

“These are ambitious goals but realistic ones,” confirms Rana who is no stranger to the pizza industry.  Rana was previously employed at a rival firm, based out of Northern Ireland, working his way up from taking phone orders to regional operations director over 15 years.

“Our latest opening in Solihull is just the start!” he explains. “We have completely re-fitted the store and aim to grow sales dramatically.”

Rana acquired a further three stores back-to-back at the tail end of 2017.  “I will add a further five Papa John’s to my portfolio in 2018 and aim to be running a minimum 20 within three years. These are likely to be a mixture of both new and existing stores,” he explains.

“I was attracted to Papa John’s as the Company has a strong brand and proposition,” confirms Rana.  “The product quality is excellent and the concept of: “BETTER INGREDIENTS.  BETTER PIZZA.” is very popular.  With around 350 UK stores there is still so much potential to grow with the Company and as a result, I am joining at just the right time."

“In my previous role, I was able to increase revenues of stores – some by more than 500% - and the knowledge and experience I bring to the table, in terms of providing an excellent customer experience, will be a key ingredient in our success,” continues Rana who has a business degree from Dublin University.  “A hands-on approach, some sensible calculated decision-making and adhering to Papa John’s guidelines will also be essential."

“Bringing in the very best staff who are hungry to work with us will be important too, as really this is a people business.  As we grow, I see my role developing as a trainer, coach and motivator for our staff, as at the end of the day the business is in their hands.  We currently employ around 60 people and we will be recruiting locally to build our team as we are driven to deliver more outlets.”

Papa John’s is actively recruiting for new franchisees across the UK.  Help is provided with location selection and full turn-key opening of stores.  As a franchisor, the Company supplies all the training and assistance needed to get your successful Papa John’s up and running.   Papa John’s is currently running an incentive scheme which offers some free equipment, assistance with marketing and reduced royalty fees to provide a helping hand when setting up.
