Zambrero expand on City popularity, with new St. Paul's restaurant designed with busy office workers in mind

Zambrero, the modern Mexican restaurant group, opened their 15th UK restaurant, and 3rd within The City of London, at 9 Queen’s Head Passage on Tuesday 19th May.
The restaurant, which specialises in freshly made burrito and bowls, has been purpose built to cater for busy local office workers in need of a quick and tasty lunch break, by putting technology at the heart of its operations. To reduce queue times, Zambrero St. Paul’s will use a doubled-up make line, alongside 6 digital ordering points, to ensure the freshly made meals can be prepared to order, without a lengthy wait.
Alongside kiosk ordering, developments are also in place so that in future, customers will be able to order in advance or from their desks, thanks to a seamlessly integrated click and collect system, powered by leading hospitality tech and ePOS provider Vita Mojo.
The 800sqft restaurant opening, just off Paternoster Square, in the shadow of St. Paul’s Cathedral, will create 10 full and part-time jobs. It has seating for 5 and will open from 11.00 – 16.00 Monday to Friday.
Famous for its burritos and bowls, Zambrero also offers tacos, nachos and quesadillas, with slow cooked meat fillings, as well as vegetarian, vegan and Halal menu options. All menu items are customisable to include the fresh fillings that customers enjoy, whilst also dialling up or down the spice level depending on customer tastes.
At the heart of the Zambrero brand is its hugely successful ‘Plate 4 Plate’ humanitarian initiative. Every time a burrito or bowl is purchased at any of its restaurants, Zambrero sends a nutritious meal to someone in need in the developing world via its distribution partner, Rise Against Hunger℠. The combination of delicious freshly prepared food and giving back is why Zambrero call themselves Feel Good Mex.
Emily Teh, CEO of Zambrero UK said “We’re incredibly excited to have opened our new St. Paul’s restaurant. A significant amount of time has gone into designing this site which calls on the latest ordering technology and doubled up production line, to ensure wait times are kept to a minimum. We know how important speedy service and great quality food are to our time sensitive customers, and we can’t wait to welcome them through our new doors”
Zambrero operates over 350 restaurants worldwide first opening in Australia in 2005, and since its 2021 launch in London, Zambrero now has 15 restaurants across the UK, located in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Reading, Essex and Glasgow.
Last year Zambrero announced initial plans to expand to 100 restaurants in the UK by 2030 through partnerships with ambitious franchisees, and with more openings in the pipeline, momentum is on their side to hit that target. Franchise Partners looking to join the Zam Fam whilst the strongest locations are still available, are encouraged to get in touch with the UK Development Team.
