Spicing Up Nottingham: Hotville's First Franchise Thrives

hotville-nottingham.jpg

Hotville in Nottingham is the brand’s first franchised site.  Run by a trio of entrepreneurs, the popular takeaway has introduced a fresh concept to the region.

Ali Rajani, franchisor and Hotville co-founder, explains: “There is nothing quite like our hot, spicy fried chicken.  We’re not just another fried chicken brand, ours is more succulent, juicy and full of flavour.  It really has to be tasted to be believed.

“Our food - which we spent many months perfecting - is far from ordinary.  Since the Nottingham takeaway opened in September 2024, taking over a converted barber’s shop, it’s been incredibly busy.

“We’ve capitalised on the growing trend for hot and spicy flavours, and customers love it.  Nottingham has a large student population, and the site is open seven days a week from 4pm.  A team of 15, made up of both part-time and full-time staff, runs the store.  We also have an exclusive agreement with Uber Eats, offering delivery alongside our takeaway and eat-in option, so there really is something for everyone.

“Our most popular menu item in Nottingham is our Boneless Combo. Also our loaded fries are to die for and are actually fully loaded!  Our portions are very generous, and customers appreciate the great value on offer usually sharing meals.”

The Nottingham Hotville franchise is owned by three business partners who oversee operations, including quality control, consistency, sourcing and accounts.  The on-site team is led by a manager responsible for day-to-day operations, supported by front-of-house and a kitchen team.  Customers can order online or walk in to collect their favourite dishes, and we have a strong level of repeat business.  As a result, the franchisees are now preparing to open a second Hotville location in Sheffield in the coming months.

Nottingham franchisee: “As Hotville’s first franchisees for a brand-new concept, there was some element of risk. However, without risk there is no reward.  We trusted the franchisors to support us, and they have.  The product is strong, the branding is strong, and our sales are growing year on year.  We’re now ready to expand.”

Hotville is now open for applications from professionals looking to invest in a growing, profitable franchise brand.  Franchisees receive full training, support with site sourcing and store fit-out, and a turnkey opening, alongside professional marketing to ensure a successful launch.  The model is fully tested, with an expected return on investment within 16–24 months.
