Puddle Ducks Director made a Chartered Fellow
Baby and children swim school franchise Puddle Ducks is delighted that their technical director and head teacher, Ali Beckman has been acknowledged as a leader in the sport and physical activity sector. She has received the mark of distinction, FCIMSPA Chartered status which is only awarded to professionals who have shown exceptional innovation and impact in the sector.
Ali who is also President of the STA (Swimming Teachers Association) the largest swimming and lifesaving teacher training company in the world said, “To be acknowledged for my contribution to swimming is wonderful. Teaching children to swim and learn a life-long skill and a love of the water is very special. I love everything to do with the water and to see babies and children go on to become competent swimmers is a feeling like no other.”
Jo Stone, CEO commented “Ali is very deserving of this achievement, she is held in such high esteem in the world of baby & children swimming and has been instrumental in training so many of our wonderful teachers across our franchise network. Ali has been with Puddle Ducks over 20 years, it is a forward-thinking child-led swimming school with over 33 local franchise owners across the UK. She heads a team of tutors, programme assessors and regional technical managers who train and support the network of Puddle Ducks teachers.
Commenting on her achievement STA CEO Dave Candler said “Ali has made such a significant impact in aquatics over her 30-year career, particularly in advancing baby and pre-school swimming through her role as an STA National Tutor and as a Director at Puddle Ducks.
