New Role Reflects Strategic Focus on Technology to Fuel Next Phase of Growth
The Massage Company, the UK’s leading membership-based massage therapy provider, is pleased to announce that Charlie Thompson, has transitioned into the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This move is a key part of the company’s strategic plan to accelerate growth, enhance customer experience, and streamline operations as it enters its next decade of success.
A Natural Progression for Business Growth
As The Massage Company approaches its 10th anniversary, the decision to transition Charlie to CTO marks a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution. This role is a natural progression for Charlie, whose passion for technology and innovation makes him the ideal leader to drive this. We recognise that there is no direct replacement for the style, character and energy that Charlie has brought to the Managing Director role over the first chapter of TMCs development. To allow the 100% focus on our 2025 Strategic Plan his remaining responsibilities will be filled by the new senior team.

Focus Areas for Charlie Thompson as CTO
In his new role, Charlie will be overseeing the continued development and optimisation of TMC’s technology infrastructure. Key areas of focus will include:
- AIDriven Solutions: Leveraging artificial intelligence to optimise customer interactions, predict demand, and streamline scheduling and booking systems.
- Enhanced Customer Experience: Improving digital platforms such as the TMC app and website to provide a more seamless and personalised customer journey, with a focus on convenience and engagement.
- Operational Efficiency: Driving automation across internal processes, enabling franchisees to focus on delivering highquality services while improving overall business performance.
- Predictive Analytics and Business Intelligence: Introducing datadriven decision-making tools to help franchisees optimise their operations, increase member retention, and drive revenue growth.
The Massage Company strategy remains to grow the performance of the current centres in 2025, before looking to double its locations in the next few years.
Building a Robust Infrastructure for Scalability
Charlie’s appointment comes at a time when The Massage Company is seeing a stronger and stronger expansion and a huge take up of Massage Therapy services, for both medical and non-medical purposes.
