The Creation Station, the UK's most recommended Creative activity company based on customer reviews, is now available in Colchester and surrounding areas. All profits generated from these creative experiences are reinvested into St Helena to help local people face incurable illnesses and bereavement.

Clair Hallums, manager of The Creation Station in support of St Helena, expressed her excitement, saying: "We're thrilled to bring The Creation Station to Colchester. Our goal is to inspire imaginations through our specially designed art and craft activities and products, fostering developmental, social, and wellbeing benefits for both children and adults."

Sarah Cressall OBE, Founder and CEO of The Creation Station, remarked: "Creativity is a force for good, and our collaboration with St Helena Hospice brings educational and entertaining creative experiences to the community, while also supporting the hospice's mission. It's a privilege to be part of this exciting opportunity for Colchester."

Children, families, and adults can now enjoy and benefit from a wide range of hands-on art and craft activities, including newborn baby keepsake classes, preschool baby and toddler sessions, arty birthday parties, home-schooling clubs, after-school create clubs, holiday camps, family fun classes, and more. There are also exciting adult craft activities suitable for hen parties, team-building events, or simply a fun and social afternoon or evening of crafting and painting with friends.

To mark the launch  St Helena are offering a free Children's Positive Mental Health workshop, to any school in their area that sign up to host The Creation Station after school, breakfast or lunch clubs.

The Creation Station Colchester team is dedicated to empowering children through award-winning activities. They ignite children's curiosity, helping them explore their ideas, discover materials and techniques, and develop a diverse range of skills, all while enhancing their wellbeing. Research shows the acts of creative expression and social interaction can improve health, both mentally and physically.

But that's not all, The Creation Station provides an exciting range of classes and bespoke events and activities for adults. There are many opportunities to join events or book your own positive, creative, and enjoyable group activity – no prior experience or special skills are necessary.

By participating in these creative activities, customers will be contributing to the provision of vital services by St Helena Hospice, including care at home, hospice services, and the 24/7 SinglePoint advice line. This means that while your children or you are enjoying fun and creativity, you are also supporting local individuals in receiving essential care during their most challenging moments.

Expanding on why St Helena has launched a new social enterprise in partnership with The Creation Station, Clair added: “The Creation Station aligns with St Helena’s holistic approach to care, looking at an individual’s emotional and spiritual wellbeing as well as their physical health. They also complement its values of being bold, passionate, and caring, making it an ideal partnership that resonates with our commitment to comprehensive wellbeing.

“Only 27% of St Helena’s income comes from the NHS. That means 73% of the income needed to run St Helena is raised through the local community. By partnering with a renowned business like The Creation Station, St Helena can raise more vital funds to continue to provide end of life care and bereavement support to the thousands of people who need it each year.”
