Lancashire based Green Shield Group appointed to deliver Solar PV on Soper BMW

Renewable energy providers, Green Shield Group, have been appointed by Soper BMW to deliver 172.69 kWp systems across their showroom site in Lincoln.

The install which will save over £50,000 per year will reduce carbon emissions by 33710 kg per year with an estimated annual yield of 144,700 KWh.

The Solar PV systems will be split across three buildings, Northgate Building, BMW and MINI Buildings and the Halo Building. The energy provided across the site is the equivalent of 1,548 trees being planted on an annual basis.

Chris Ridehalgh from Green Shield Group said: “It has been great to work with Andrew and the team at Soper BMW to understand their core strategic objectives to go green. Here at Green Shield we help businesses transform into a carbon neutral sustainable operation and that is exactly what we have done at Soper BMW, Lincoln. We are looking forward to watching how the team is able to reduce their carbon footprint and cost save effectively.”
