"It's unlike anything out there"

30 members of The Travel Franchise travelled to Mauritius (13th-20th May) to enjoy a free, luxurious and highly exclusive mentorship retreat. The event is in partnership with Beachcomber Tours, a group of eight luxurious hotels scattered around the exotic island.

In addition to staying at four of Beachcomber Tours’ luxurious resorts – Paradis Golf Resort & Spa, Trou aux Biches, Canonnier and Shandrani, and enjoying intensive training on building successful travel businesses – franchisees also toured and sampled some delicious meals at some of the company’s other resorts including Dinarobin, Mauricia, Royal Palm and Victoria.

Paul Harrison, co-founder of the multi-award winning The Travel Franchise and its consumer-facing arm, Not Just Travel said: “Our Elite Experience is unlike anything out there. We provide a money-can’t-buy experience that not only immerses our members in the culture and local community of Mauritius, showing them how safe and easy it is to get around the island, but we also provide entrepreneurial training for them to take their businesses to a whole new level. Franchisees implement what we teach them and then go on to earn tens of thousands of pounds in income each and every month.”

Paul Harrison continues: “Our members have secured a phenomenal amount of sales for Beachcomber Tours both while they were on the trip and on their return. This event with Beachcomber Tours has been a game-changer for our relationship.”

Sarah Archer, UK Sales Manager of Beachcomber Tours says: “It’s always great when consultants come back from an educational enthused about Mauritius and Beachcomber, but this year’s Elite Experience have gone above and beyond, channelling that enthusiasm into actual bookings within days of being home. We even had bookings confirmed while the agents were still in Mauritius. It’s really heart-warming to see all the effort the delegates are making to pay us back for the trip”.

Suzy Blyth, a franchisee with The Travel Franchise said: “I’ve visited all the Beachcomber resorts, seen all the different room types and built relationships with the teams in the hotels. To take that home to our clients is invaluable”.

Franchisee Warren Jessop said: “The trip has definitely helped me sell holidays to Mauritius and Beachcomber’s resorts in particular. We’ve seen all the different room types, the spas, the kids’ clubs and the golf courses. I now have knowledge of everything that’s available in each one of Beachcomber’s eight resorts on the island.”

All of the members got to spend time with the company’s entrepreneurial co-founders, Steve Witt and Paul Harrison, new Chief Commercial Officer Chris Harrison, as well as two business development managers Jake Hollins and Aaron Hilton to learn more about marketing and skills to elevate their business.
