Island Poké has appointed Hux Norman as Head of Property as it sets to embark on a period of huge growth.

Hux comes from the UK café, bar, and restaurant operator, Loungers, where he was instrumental to the significant UK roll out during his time as Property Manager.

Hux joins the UK’s leading poké operator as it gets set to embark on its biggest growth ambitions yet, with plans to open 100 locations across the UK in the next five years.

Hux will play a pivotal role in securing prominent locations for expansion as the fast growing brand looks to bring its Fresh Pacific Flavours nationwide.

Hux Norman said: “It’s great to be joining Island Poké at such a key phase in its growth strategy.

“It is an incredible, fast-growing brand responding to modern consumer needs and I am really looking forward to bringing in my knowledge and experience to help the brand grow across the UK and beyond.”

Island Poké founder James Gould-Porter said: “We’re excited to welcome Hux to our Island Poké Ohana.

“I admire the work he has done with Loungers and his expertise will be a key asset in our growth plans as we look to bring Island Poké to more towns and cities up and down the country.”

Island Poké uses sustainable and high-quality ingredients that deliver on both flavour and feel-good factor.

Poké (Po-Keh) is the hawiawan for “slice or cut” and is traditionally chunks of raw, marinated fish tossed over rice and topped with vegetables and sauces.

The brand currently has 18 Islands in London, 11 in France and a residency in the luxury shopping destination, Bicester Village.

Island Poké is part of the Hero Brands group, which also includes German Doner Kebab, Choppaluna, Sides and XIX Vodka within its growing portfolio.

Island Poké is also part of White Rabbit Projects group, a hospitality development platform that partners with early-stage restaurants and entrepreneurs to support and accelerate growth. Others in its portfolio include Lina Stores and Kricket.
