Operational Launch of Driving Miss Daisy Sutton Coldfield

Driving Miss Daisy® empowers the least able in society to live more independent lives through the provision of specialist transportation, social engagement and companion services across the country, and the response to the launch of Driving Miss Daisy® Sutton Coldfield has been phenomenal.

Franchise owners, Andrew Foley and partner Lucy Chiles, enthuse: “In our first month of operations, the response from our local community, and beyond, has been immense. The Driving Miss Daisy® service…it’s so very much needed and well received, that most people respond with platitudes about what a great service/idea it is before you’ve even finished your “pitch”!

“We’ve helped a lady in her 30’s get to a workshop, a 90-year old grandmother visiting hospital, a daughter taking her mother, who is living with dementia, out for a surprise lunch, and a 73-year old lady with Cerebral Palsy choose bedding plants for her beloved garden. Add to this our specialist home-to-holiday service and airport runs and we’ve really hit the ground running”.

Andrew, previously an Operations Manager in B2B, and Lucy, previously in HR, chose the franchise route as it gave them the framework and proof of concept to start their own business and get it moving quickly. Andrew adds: “We both wanted to do something which gives back to our local community and Driving Miss Daisy® absolutely delivers this.

“You cannot replicate the feeling you get whenever one of your clients tells you that they would not have been able to do the thing you’ve assisted them to achieve without you.”
