Telford Cash Converters franchise brings home national accolade
Staff at Telford’s Cash Converters are celebrating after receiving a national award for their dedication to responsible lending in the stores Personal Finance Centre (PFC).
The store on New Street was chosen from over 220 stores at the international retailer’s annual conference in Portugal earlier this year for their work in responding to the financial needs to the local community.
Beth Woodhouse, Personal Finance Manager, said: “I am delighted that we won PFC of the year award. We are committed to providing our customers with a transparent solution to meet their lending needs and as we are a relatively new store it is great that we have been recognised, beating off competition from across the network of stores.”
The Telford team was presented with the esteemed award after demonstrating a commitment to the expansion of their in store services. They were also recognised for their performance, debt management, store approach and growth.
Store owner Ed Roberts, said: “Beth and the team have consistently offered excellent customer service since we opened the store three years ago. I am so pleased their efforts have been recognised with this prestigious award.”
The store, part of a network of 222 Cash Converters stores in the UK, offers a place where customers can shop for pre-owned goods, sell unwanted items for instant cash, or benefit from a range of financial services including pawnbroking, cheque cashing, laybys and buyback.
Head of PFC Chris Powley congratulated Ed and his team on winning this award, he said: “We are delighted that the Telford PFC has won this award. They showed an unbelievable desire to succeed and they have proved that with the right PFC Manager, incredible results can be achieved.
“The local community is benefiting from the commitment and dedication to offering personal financial support, in this tough financial climate. The teams’ success was achieved by complete support of all staff members and hard work. Their work has stood out and contributed to making the Telford store a valued member of the Cash Converters network.”
