Cash Converters franchise become Tash-tastic for 'Movember'

National retailer of second hand goods and financial provider, Cash Converters has rebranded its Sutton store Tash Converters as it aims to raise £50,000 for men’s health charities during Movember.

Rebranding for the month, Tash Converters staff, male and female, have committed to growing or accessorising themselves with a tash. Sporting stars from the Championship and the Scottish Premier League, as well as PDC darts players and fans will also be sporting a moustache during the month to raise further awareness.

Cash Converters, who sponsors Hull City and Motherwell FC, is looking forward to watching the players join in the month long growing campaign. The retailer is also sponsoring the annual PDC Cash Converters Players Championship and is hopeful that the five thousand fans attending on the 30th November will come decorated with a tash.

Across the UK, Cash Converters’ network of 222 stores will join the facial hair fundraising drive and will be encouraging customers to get involved. Hirsute shoppers will be able to exchange maintenance tips with staff new to the tash and female staff across the UK will be also be donning a fake tash.

David Patrick, CEO at Cash Converters, said: “This is the inaugural Tash Converters charity drive and one that I hope will deliver great results for the global charity. Our staff are committed to raising awareness of the cause as well as raising huge sums of money through a number of fundraising events during the month. I would like to encourage anyone, whether a customer or just passing by, to pop in to store during November to check out the tashes, share growing tips and spare a few coins for the cause.”

The money raised will be donated to global charity Movember and will be split between prostate and testicular cancer charities.

David continued: “We have a large male customer base and are in a perfect position to support the charity by rolling out our national fundraising initiative Tash Converters.”
