THE LITTLE GYM GEARS UP FOR TRIPLE OPENING THIS AUTUMN
Children’s curriculum gymnastics franchise, The Little Gym is getting ready to open three new UK centres this autumn. The first opening will take place in the Kensington and Chelsea borough, where planning permission has recently been granted for a centre in the prestigious new Westfield Shopping Centre. Further openings are planned for Harpenden and Harrogate later this year, with Buckinghamshire, Basingstoke, Guildford, Hampstead, Harrogate, Weybridge, Winchester and Windsor to follow.
A new exercise concept, which originates from the US, The Little Gym offers a unique curriculum-based gymnastics programme, which evolves with each stage of a child’s cognitive and motor skills development. The programme is available for children of all abilities from 4 months to 12 years. Recent awards include Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2008 ‘No 1 Children’s Fitness Program Franchise’.
The Little Gym currently has over 300 locations in 19 countries, including fourteen UK franchises - with five currently open in Bishop’s Stortford, Chiswick, Hampton Hill, Wandsworth and Stoke. At it’s recently opened Chiswick gym, full membership has totalled over 800 since its official opening last September, making it the fastest growing gym outside of America since the company was founded in 1976. National coverage is expected within five years.
