Tell us a bit about yourself

I have been involved in the catering and hospitality industry all my life. I have gained extensive knowledge through working in and managing hotels, restaurants and takeaways. My professional path has now led me into the franchising industry with Dope Burger. My interests outside of work include weight lifting, home cooking and fishing.

Can you tell us about Dope Burger

Dope Burger was established in 2011 and has shown exponential growth since opening its doors to the public. Our gourmet products, coupled with fast service, has been a huge contributing factor to our success. We are also excellent at catering for vegetarians, vegans and celiacs.

We are an emerging Franchise brand so we don’t have any franchise sites as yet, but it is only a matter of time before Dope Burger becomes a national franchise. We are always voted as one of the top five burgers in the UK and where voted Britian’s Best Takeaway in 2022 by the BBC.

Dope Burger has a vast target market as we do our best to provide the best quality food products to people from all walks of life. The growth of the company since opening has shown us that there is a huge demand for our services.

Why is Dope Burger a great investment for potential franchisees?

We are a fantastic franchise investment for a number of reasons. We are an established brand with a tried and tested operation proven to work across a varied customer demographic. Our Franchises will receive fantastic market prices with regards to out ingredients due to us cutting out the middle man with numerous suppliers. We are offering a fixed franchise fee. Nominal start up fees. Comprehensive operations manual and constant support and guidance from our head office team.

What differentiates Dope Burger from the competition?

What separates us from our competition is our drive to constantly grow our brand and look for ways to improve our operational efficiency. The quality of our products is also head and shoulders above our competitors.

What is the role of one of your franchisees?

The role of our franchisees is to uphold the standards of our brand whilst also running a successful business through our franchise model.

What qualities do you look for in a franchisee?

We look for people who are passionate about the catering and hospitality industry, preferably with experience in the field. An ideal Dope Burger Franchisee will be a business-driven individual who sees the potential in our brand and will do everything in their power to uphold the standards we have worked so hard to obtain over the last decade of being in business.

What other challenges have you had to overcome and adapt to over the years in your franchise and the industry in general?

The biggest challenge we have had to overcome over the years is the price increase for our raw ingredients which has affected the profitability of our products. However, in recent years we have managed to source a selection of our ingredients directly from the suppliers, cutting out the middle man and keeping Dope Burgers at an affordable price for the general public.

What have been Dope Burger’s biggest achievements to date?

The company’s biggest achievement to date is definitely being the winner of Britian’s Best Takeaway 2022

What does the future hold for Dope Burger?

The future looks very bright for Dope Burger. In the upcoming years we are planning on being a nationwide franchise. We also recently attended an international franchise exhibition at the London excel and we had a lot of international franchise enquiries while at the event. This gives us great confidence that Dope Burger has International franchise potential.

What advice would you give to someone considering franchising their business?

Be confident that you have a brand/product that will be successful across a varied customer demographic. Be well researched on the legal aspects of franchising with regards to documentation etc. Be selective with your franchise candidates, they will be representing your brand which you don’t want tarnishing by a franchisee who doesn’t have the drive to make it a success.
