Riding the waves of success!
Oli and Claire traded the hustle and bustle of city life for the sand and sea of Cornwall – the UK’s surfing hotspot! After a successful 12-year career as a quantity surveyor, Oli felt it was time to put down roots in a place that truly felt like home. The grind of endless commutes had taken a toll on his wellbeing and their young family, and that’s when it hit him: success wasn’t just about climbing the corporate ladder. It was now about finding the perfect spot to raise their daughter and build a future for their family. And for Oli and Claire, that place could only be Claire’s home county of Cornwall – and that future could only be with My Property Pros!
In 2021, the duo launched their exciting new franchise in Newquay and Truro, hoping to turn their lives around. Fast forward to today, and they’ve done exactly that – building a thriving multi-territory, multi-van business, successfully trialling an innovative new service for the whole network and, most recently, becoming one of the first MPP franchisees to rent a warehouse facility. And the list of achievements goes on!
"After seeing some solid success early on, we decided to take a big leap and allocate a large chunk of our resources into renting a warehouse – and let me tell you, it’s really paid off! Having that space has been a total game-changer. It’s given us the room to store equipment, stay organised and streamline our operations. The impact on our profits has been huge, and it’s allowed us to really scale up and take on more jobs. It was a big step, but definitely one of the best moves we’ve made so far! We can keep all our equipment tidy and organised, meaning no more clutter at home – which has been especially helpful with a little one running around!” said Oli.
By taking the plunge and investing in a unit just 20 minutes from home, Oli and Claire have propelled their already thriving multi-van franchise to even greater heights! This investment has supercharged their growth, helping them streamline operations, boost efficiency and achieve incredible results – including an impressive 19.5% sustained growth last year while reducing expenses by 18%. Their bold moves are paying off in a big way, proving that smart decisions lead to big wins. They’ve even inspired other members of the MPP network to take the leap themselves, setting the standard for success and showing just how far ambition and determination can take you.
In 2024 – three years into Oli’s and Claire’s franchise journey – founders Karen and Dave Prewer explained to the couple that the business was undergoing an exciting rebrand that would not only strengthen its market position but also included the introduction of several new, highly lucrative revenue streams. Most notably roof cleaning.
“We were all in on the rebrand – completely backed it and couldn’t wait to roll out something fresh. At the start of 2024, I conducted the first-ever roof trials for the entire network, showing just how much potential this service has. Off the back of that, we landed a massive job with a prestigious property which took a week to complete last March – showcasing to our fellow franchisees what’s truly possible. This year, we were the first to officially adopt the Roof Wand, and it’s been a revolutionary change to our business. It set us up for an exciting start to 2025, and with these big commercial jobs rolling in, the possibilities are endless,” said Oli.
“Roof cleaning has been completely transformational for our business,” added Claire. “Plus, we’re continuing to make a real difference to our customers’ homes and boosting that all-important curb appeal. The jobs are flying in, and profits are soaring. It’s an exciting time, and we’re loving every minute of it!”

Oli now volunteers at a food bank, while Claire gets to work remotely from home part-time while assisting Oli with the business as much as possible. And their newest little addition, Ruby the sausage dog, is loving all the extra family time too!
“Dan’s our only employee at the moment, but we’re looking to welcome another to the team soon,” said Claire. “I support in the running of the business for a few hours during the week, handling admin, enquiries, payments and all that fun stuff, but with all of the enquiries we’ve been receiving, it looks like we may need another member to join the team by the end of the year! Oli loves being hands-on, so he’ll always want to be out on the road doing the work, but eventually he’d like to pass some work to others so he can focus more on business development and keep up with the growing demand.”
