Why I chose franchising
The reason that I chose to go ahead with franchising, as opposed to a business start-up was that is a more affordable opportunity. Additionally, it is more beneficial to start an already established and successful business format while still being in control of my own business
What I did before taking up a franchise
Before I became a Cafe2U franchise owner, I was a Senior retail management
How I raised the finance
In order to finance the necessary investment for a Cafe2U franchise, I re-mortgaged and looked at a vehicle lease purchase.
The training and support I receive from my franchisor
In the start I was held by the hand the whole way along the learning process of training, getting to know the whole systems and procedures of Cafe2U, until everyone was confident that I was able to stand alone.
There is on-going support along with pre-planned visits every year.
If and when I need any support, all I have to do is lift the phone and someone will be there.
The challenges I have faced
The challenges that I have personally faced is getting and building a customer base and keeping them loyal. Oh, and getting a holiday!!
My advice to someone thinking of buying their first franchise
Just do it !!!
My plans for the future
I’ve not long after signing a second 5 year term agreement with Cafe2U so will look to ensure stability within the current business climate then who knows what could happen in the following year.
