Pacifica Local's latest franchise partners get down to business
Two new Pacifica Local territories have launched in Sutton and Cardiff, with three franchise partners turning their technical expertise into businesses of their own.
In Sutton, brothers Muhammad Unain and Muhammad Raheel are combining their engineering experience, while Rhys Pring is already out on the road with his new Cardiff operation, drawing on years of technical and customer service knowledge.
For Muhammad Unain, whose background includes working as a field service engineer, the opportunity offered a natural next step. “I already had experience, so I could bring those skills with me from day one. The difference was having the chance to put them into something of our own and have much more control over where we take it.
“The training was super thorough and added to what we already knew, giving us a strong introduction to all things Pacifica Local. Our attention now is on getting established in Sutton, winning customers and becoming known locally.”
Muhammad Raheel brings an electrical engineering background to the venture. “Having the freedom to make our own decisions really appealed to us. We can set our ambitions for Sutton and work towards them, while having Pacifica Local’s appliance repair experience to draw on along the way.
“As we gain momentum, we want to develop relationships and explore different opportunities across the area – including working with property management companies.”
Rhys Pring is several weeks into trading and putting his own stamp on his new territory. “I know Cardiff, Caerphilly and this part of South Wales really well, so I want Pacifica Local to become a name people here trust. Longer term, the ambition is to grow and put additional vans on the road.”
Rhys was drawn to Pacifica Local’s combination of independence and established industry expertise. “Being in charge of my own schedule and having responsibility for the whole area was a big attraction. There’s a real sense of ownership because the reputation you create and the relationships you develop are yours.
“I also know I can pick up the phone and speak to people who understand the industry whenever I need advice. It means I can get on with growing the business, knowing that all the support I need is there to draw on when I need it.”
The openings come around a year after Pacifica Local launched its franchise opportunity, creating a route for technically minded, commercially ambitious people to establish an appliance repair operation in their local area.
