Two new franchise launches are strengthening Pacifica Local's growing UK network, with professionals from different industries choosing its tried-and-tested franchise model to start a new chapter in appliance repair.

Launching in Wembley are cousins Iain Lawson and Alrick Robinson, while in Staines, experienced engineer Muhammad Iqbal transitioned his existing business to Pacifica Local. Two different stories but one common goal: building a business to support both their community and their families’ futures.

A winning formula in Wembley

Pacifica Local’s latest launch in Wembley highlights the flexibility of its franchise model, with Iain and Alrick bringing different skills and experiences to the table.

Having explored various opportunities, the cousins were drawn to Pacifica Local’s transparent approach, strong communication and hands-on support. While Iain had been building his appliance repair expertise over several years, Alrick brought business experience, creating a partnership centred around a shared ambition to start a successful local business.

“I’d experienced franchising before and had some reservations,” said Alrick. “Pacifica Local felt different from the very beginning. Those initial conversations put me at ease and gave me the confidence that this was the right decision.”

“Not only were the team really friendly and supportive but having the national recognition of a brand like Pacifica is a real game-changer,” added Iain. “You’re building your own business but you’re never doing it alone.”

Turning experience into growth

Muhammad’s journey into the network showcases another route to becoming a Pacifica Local franchise partner, with the experienced engineer using the model to accelerate the growth of his existing appliance repair business.

“My business had solid foundations but I knew there was more potential to unlock,” said Muhammad. “The franchise opportunity at Pacifica Local gave me access to the systems, brand recognition, and support I need to take things to the next level - all while giving me the freedom to run my own business.”

Since joining the network, Muhammad has seen a steep rise in demand, leading him to recruit his first engineer. “Bringing another engineer into the fold has been a great step forward. With the continued backing of Pacifica Local, I have no doubt we will continue to grow.”

Backing partners every step of the way

Pacifica Local’s franchise model is built around giving partners the tools and confidence to succeed, from comprehensive training and established systems to ongoing guidance. By championing repair over replace, the brand is helping franchise partners build trusted local businesses that provide an essential service to customers.

Crucial to the model is the support structure that helps Pacifica Local franchise partners turn opportunity into reality.

For Alrick, the training gave him the belief he needed to enter an industry he’d never worked in before. “Coming from a non-engineering background, I was a little unsure of what to expect but the training was amazing. I left knowing I could go out and deliver a great service for our customers.”

“Head office genuinely cares about its franchise partners,” added Iain. “They’re always on hand to help you out if you have any queries – no question is too big or too small. It’s great to know you have that backing as you’re starting out on your journey.”

Supporting the next wave of franchise partners

Lee Garland, Head of Franchising at Pacifica Local, said, “It’s fantastic to welcome Iain, Alrick and Muhammad to the Pacifica Local network – they each bring a unique skillset, showing there’s no single route to becoming a Pacifica Local franchise partner.

“Whether someone is starting a new venture of looking to grow an existing operation, our role is to provide the tools, training and guidance needed to help them succeed. We’re excited to continue expanding and welcome more ambitious franchise partners as our franchise network continues to grow.”
