Multi award-winning The Travel Franchise has appointed Danielle Dry as its latest Business Development Manager to keep up with the incredible pace of franchisee recruitment.

The news follows the recent announcement that the company has recruited more new travel consultants in the first five months of 2023 than it did in the whole of 2022 - with at least one new travel consultant joining most working days.

Danielle Dry was previously with Barrhead Travel and part of the UK expansion team that opened 12 stores around the UK following the collapse of Thomas Cook. Danielle has also enjoyed a successful career with 25 years' experience with Thomas Cook, Lunn Poly and Thomson, across retail, sales growth, coaching, mentoring and business development.

Danielle Dry says she was tempted by the role, having read a lot about The Travel Franchise and its consumer-facing holiday brand Not Just Travel in the media. She says: “I’ve been most impressed by co-founders Paul Harrison and Steve Witt’s motivation. The sheer scale of their passion stood out for me. They are both very open about their vision and strategy for the future and I’m excited to be a part of it. I cannot wait to share my industry knowledge with the travel consultants and help them move their businesses forward.”

Co-founder Paul Harrison says it is expanding its recruitment drive “to not only match our rapidly expanding franchisee network, but also to provide unsurpassed mentorship”.

“We already have the best support staff to consultant ratio in the industry but, as always, we look to improve on that. It’s our way to continually improve our offer to members. When you join our company, you receive exceptional service,” says Harrison.

Franchisee Ami Wood, who has so far made £1.5 million in sales in less than 18 months, says  “The team is very supportive and encouraging. The training process is excellent as you have 1-2-1 management to help guide you throughout. This job feels like a hobby.”

Danielle Dry says: “I’ve met many consultants so far and what impresses me the most is how some of them still have other jobs and have never worked in the travel industry, but yet make great successes out of their travel businesses as they learn and grow. The energy of the team and the potential of this job is truly exciting.”
