A Taste of Afrikana: First store in Scotland set to bring African inspired flavours to Glasgow
Scotland, get ready to experience the vibrant and captivating African-inspired brand, Afrikana, this summer! We are thrilled to announce our Scotland debut on Sauchiehall Street, offering a full experience with music, interior, ambience, and art, in addition to their beautiful African flavours.
Founded by entrepreneur Omair Ali in 2018, Afrikana was established with the mission to fuse popular mainstream dishes with African-inspired flavors. With locations across the country, including Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester, Bristol, and Lakeside, Afrikana has become a renowned name in the hospitality industry.
At Afrikana, they aim to offer a wide variety of food that celebrates African culture, art, and music, serving "mouth-watering food, exceptional service, and a buzzing atmosphere." Their menu boasts a range of delectable dishes, including slow-cooked Curry Goat, jerk fried chicken and plantain, Jammin’ Jambalaya, and tender French trim lamb chops packed with African inspired seasoning and flavors! They also cater to dietary requirements, with halal, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free items.
