Wagging Tails franchise gets a Twitter Boost from Theo Paphitis

Wagging Tails have been celebrating as their dog boarding company received a boost from TV Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis. On Sunday 13th January 2013, Lisa Suswain, Managing Director of Wagging Tails, tweeted Theo about her business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly.

Theo re‐tweeted Lisa’s message to his 313,274 followers and as a result, the business has hundreds more followers and visits to their website trebled within hours of Theo’s tweet. They are also profiled on a new website that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Lisa Suswain, who runs Wagging Tails alongside her husband Jim, said, “We set up our home dog boarding company in 2007 and the business is going from strength to strength with lots of very happy dogs getting a holiday of their own with one of our lovely carers. Demand for our exclusive service has led to us franchising the business and we currently have 7 very successful franchises with more available Nationwide. It is great to have support from Theo especially as to date Wagging Tails are the only pet care company to win this award and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do to his following.”

Anyone looking for a re‐tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5 PM and 7.30 PM and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re‐ tweeted every Monday at 8 PM and then invited to enter their profile on the new website. This is done free of charge and the new website is sponsored by Ryman Stationery, where Theo is Chairman.
