THE SUSHI CO LAUNCHES FIRST NORTHERN DINE-IN VENUE IN LIVERPOOL
Liverpool is getting a new addition this week, as one of the fastest-growing UK restaurant chains is opening on Ranelagh St, L1.
The Sushi Co is launching its inaugural Liverpool store in the old Cinnabon on Lyceum place, having opened up two separate units to make a larger site, with premium furniture and fixtures for the ultimate fast dine-in experience. It will include The Sushi Co’s unique offering: a Live Sushi Kitchen, in which chefs make top of the range, fresh food in minutes, in front of customers - described as ‘delicious’ and ‘heaven sent’ on Tripadvisor.
Up to 10 new jobs will be created across front-of-house and kitchen roles. From 11am until late, chefs will serve fresh sushi, poke bowls and hot dishes, including curries and gyozas, with halal chicken available.
The Sushi Co is growing fast: this is the 36th UK outlet and the first dine-in restaurant in the North of England, with plans to open more venues later this year. With delivery, click & collect and eat-in, every type of diner is catered for. Fans include TOWIE stars Junaid Ahmed, Jodie Wells and Lauren Goodger, Strictly Come Dancing’s Nikita Kanda, Love Island’s Indiyah, and Bollywood stars Jasmin Walia and Zack Knight.
To celebrate the launch, a public grand opening event will take place on Saturday 22nd August. From 12:00 PM, customers can enjoy free sushi rolls, try their luck at Spin the Wheel to win exciting prizes, take home a keepsake from the balloon artist or caricature artist and soak up the atmosphere with a live band.
“No other high street sushi restaurants include live kitchens where you can see the food being prepared, it’s one of the reasons we’re so popular, as people really value fresh ingredients and kitchen skills when it comes to this cuisine,” says Liverpool manager Junaid Akram. “Our point of difference is that our food is ‘minutes fresh’. Every other premium sushi chain boxes their food then keeps it in the chiller for hours. Ours is made fresh to order, every single time”
