Naturespace Franchisees Celebrate Successful First Year in Business

Naturespace is celebrating the first anniversary of two of its pioneering franchise businesses, with Richard Ambler and Steve Mann in Cambridge, alongside James Stone in Buckingham, marking twelve successful months as Naturespace franchisees.
Since joining the environmentally focused grounds maintenance franchise, both businesses have established themselves as trusted providers of sustainable open space management across their regions, supporting housing developments, schools, business parks, parish councils and commercial clients with professional grounds maintenance that puts biodiversity first.
Richard Ambler and Steve Mann launched Naturespace Cambridge after successful corporate careers, united by a shared ambition to build a business together while making a positive difference to the environment. Over the past year, the pair have expanded their customer base through a combined effort of centrally sourced key account sites, and the parters building strong local relationships, recently resulting in significant new contracts with parish councils and a local sports club, adding around £30,000 of annual recurring revenue to their growing business.
Meanwhile, James Stone of Naturespace Buckingham, another successful corporate executive and experienced franchise operator, has spent his first year developing the brand across Buckinghamshire, delivering sustainable grounds maintenance services for commercial and community spaces while championing Naturespace's environmental values and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) principles.
Naturespace was established to provide year-round commercial grounds maintenance with a strong focus on sustainability, biodiversity and responsible land management. Rather than simply maintaining green spaces, the business works to enhance them, helping clients create environments where both people and nature can thrive. The franchise network continues to grow across the UK, offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to build scalable businesses with work available from launch.
Owen Barton, Franchise Director at Naturespace, said:
"Richard, Steve and James have all embraced what Naturespace stands for from day one. They have worked incredibly hard to establish their businesses, deliver exceptional service and demonstrate that commercial success and environmental responsibility go hand in hand.
Celebrating a first anniversary is an important milestone for any new business, and we're proud of everything they've achieved over the past twelve months. Their success is a fantastic example of what's possible with the right attitude, support and commitment to doing the right thing."
Reflecting on their first year, Richard Ambler and Steve Mann said:
"The past year has been incredibly rewarding. We've learned a huge amount, developed fantastic relationships with customers and built a business we're genuinely proud of. We chose Naturespace because of its values and its commitment to sustainability, and we're excited about what the future holds as we continue to grow our team and our customer base."
James Stone added:
"It's been a brilliant first year. Every day is different and it's satisfying to see the positive impact we're making for our customers and the local environment. The support from the Naturespace team has been excellent, and I'm looking forward to building on everything we've achieved during the next twelve months."
With growing demand for environmentally responsible grounds maintenance and Biodiversity Net Gain becoming an increasing priority for developers and landowners, Naturespace continues to expand its franchise network, creating opportunities for entrepreneurs looking to build profitable businesses with purpose.
