Grow with YO! - Michelle and Toni's story, Leeds Franchisees
When Michelle and Toni Sison opened their first YO! sushi kiosk in Leeds Roundhay in October last year, they were looking for an opportunity that combined strong brand recognition with hands-on support and long-term growth potential. Six months later, the pair have expanded their partnership with YO! by taking on a second kiosk at Leeds Garforth— a testament to the success of their first venture.
Capitalising on the strength of YO’s partnership with Tesco, their first kiosk quickly benefitted from consistent high footfall, helping them build a loyal base of returning customers from day one. Michelle and Toni credit much of their success to YO!’s comprehensive franchise support model, which provided them with everything needed to launch confidently and operate effectively.
From an intensive training programme to a fully turnkey solution including all kiosk equipment, the duo were supported at every stage of the journey. Ongoing operational guidance and dedicated marketing support also helped them establish strong local awareness and create meaningful relationships with customers in their community.
When asked to comment on the success of his first year in partnership with YO!, Toni commented “Our actual sales are more than our projected sales.” Michelle added ‘All the support that we get from YO! sushi makes things easier.’
Their positive experience, combined with strong trading performance and customer demand, led Michelle and Toni to invest in a second YO! kiosk - further strengthening YO!’s growing franchise network and demonstrating the scalability of the model for ambitious franchise partners.
