From Flooring to Smart Repair

New franchisee Ethan Rozario has just one regret – that he didn’t go down the franchise route sooner!
The 31-year-old launched Revive! Crewe 18 months ago and is delighted with the way his business is going.
In addition to running his Revive! business he also owns the family flooring company, taking over from his father ten years ago. His brother joining the business three years ago gave Ethan the opportunity to think about starting a new venture.
It was the sheer hard work and long hours it took to build up the flooring business that made Ethan appreciate the huge differences between starting up on your own and becoming part of an award winning, proven, franchise.
“If I could have my time over, given the choice of either going with a proven franchise or working 18 hours a day to get something going from scratch, I would always do a franchise.
“I chose to join Revive! because it was in an industry I was familiar with and one where I would be offering a service which would align with everything I already did in my other business.
“I liked that with Revive! there was existing brand awareness, a ready-made website, full marketing support and an immediate workflow that gave me the capacity to instantly be running a management franchise.”
Initially the majority of Crewe’s work came from the retail sector, but Ethan made the most of the quieter autumn months of 2024 to call on dealerships, landing the biggest independent dealership in the territory which now provides the team with a high volume of regular work.
“Whilst National Account work is a real bonus, you can’t honestly expect to have all your work handed to you by Revive! It’s my business at the end of the day. You have to go out and try to get repeat customers, go and give out leaflets and go and see dealerships, and with the support from Revive! head office I am very comfortable doing that.”
After some initial staffing issues, he’s now got his ‘dream’ team of three technicians and is looking to add a fourth van soon to cope with the ever-increasing demand.
Sales really took off for Crewe in February of this year as retail word of mouth recommendations gained momentum and dealership work flooded in. Ethan’s team have also been helping Revive! look after a vacant neighbouring territory and Ethan plans to buy this territory in the new year.
Crewe technicians feature regularly amongst the top five technicians in the Revive! network leaderboard—an achievement Ethan heralds as one of the highlights in his Revive! journey so far.
“We’ve got such a great team here. We’ve taken on a young lad whose 19 and he’s absolutely fantastic. He joined from a car dealership where he was an apprentice on a low wage. Now he must be the most well paid 19-year-old around, doing 14 or 15 thousand pounds worth of work a month with us! Seeing people all around me doing well is one of the main reasons I do this.”
So what else motivates Ethan?
“I’ve always had a goal to retire when I’m 50 or maybe semi-retire, and perhaps with the way things are going I’ll be able to do that even sooner. I’ve never really done it to become a millionaire – although if one day I do that’ll be nice – I’ve always done it for a better lifestyle or to retire earlier.”
Looking to the future, top of Ethan’s list of priorities is to take on an administrator to make sure he can continue to focus on the business rather than have to work in it as the workload and tech team grows. Purchasing the neighboring territory of Winsford will come next, and then hopefully a long-awaited holiday with his girlfriend Charlotte.
