CHOPSTIX DOUBLES UP TO STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIP WITH BUTLIN'S

The UK’s leading Asian QSR brand, Chopstix, is opening its second site with Butlin’s, with a launch at Butlin’s Minehead in time for February half term.

The location – the brand’s fifth new site this year – continues Chopstix’s impressive growth trajectory, with strong franchise partners, such as Butlin’s, proving decisive in the rapid expansion.

The Chopstix site forms part of a broader £1.2 million investment from Butlin’s to improve the food offer in the Boardwalk area of the resort. The Minehead launch follows a highly successful opening at Butlin’s Bognor Regis last summer, which has prompted the holiday operator to explore a future roll-out at its Skegness resort as well.

Full management of the Minehead site will be overseen by Butlin’s, with all team members, including ten brand new hires, undergoing a full Chopstix induction, in order to be truly embedded in the ethos of the brand. Butlin’s guests will be able to enjoy Chopstix favourites, including Teriyaki Beef and Caramel Drizzle Chicken, as well as sides ranging from Spring Rolls, to Chicken Balls, Prawn Crackers, and Salt ‘n’ Pepper Potatoes.

Sam Elia Co-Founder of Chopstix, said: “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with such an iconic resort operator in Butlin’s. The first six months of trading at Bognor Regis has shown how well Chopstix works with Butlin’s and its guests, so I have no doubt the Minehead location will deliver the same, fantastic returns.”

Craig Goodwin, Butlin’s Minehead Resort Director said “We’re really excited to be opening Chopstix in time for the busy February half term holidays. Following the success of Chopstix opening in Bognor Regis last year, we’re delighted to be bringing even more choice to our guests in Minehead. We know our guests want quality and value, so I’m confident Chopstix is going to be really popular with holidaymakers joining us on family breaks and Big Weekenders.”

“The continued investment in our resort has allowed us to create more jobs and Chopstix gives our guests something different when eating on resort with great-tasting, quality products. Whether it’s refuelling at lunch or dinner or to grab a late-night snack, Chopstix offers variety and great value for money throughout the day.”

The opening of the Chopstix Butlin’s Minehead site comes as the brand continues to deliver strong sales across its portfolio. The Chopstix Group consists of over 100 Chopstix sites, in addition to 10 sites operating as Yangtze, and 27 sites under the Chozen Noodle brand, which the group acquired last this year.
